20 Reasons Why It Should Be Donald Trump in 2016
Breitbart ^ | October 22, 2015 | A.J. Delgado

Posted on 10/23/2015 3:12:08 AM PDT by Cincinatus' Wife

It isn’t “acceptable” in polite society to support Donald Trump, I am told.

America’s bullies – the sneering, “we know better than you” establishment classes – have made many cower in silence rather than proclaim that Trump is a tremendous presidential candidate and has earned their support.

It is a replay of the worst aspects of high school peer-pressure, about what’s OK and what isn’t, based on selfish interests and prejudices.

Well, enough of that. Trump is already changing America for the better – and is encouraging us to boldly stand up for our beliefs about what’s best for our nation and best for our fellow Americans.

So let’s get right to it. Shifting America back on course requires Donald Trump as the Republican nominee. Not only is he the only Republican candidate who could win the general election, but he is the only choice Republican voters should consider (and should consider themselves lucky to have on their side).

In no particular order, here are the top 20 reasons why:

1. He is not your ordinary politician.

2. Trump is not reliant on donors.

3. Yes, he doesn’t have much of a filter. Bravo.

4. He speaks for us little people.

5. Make no mistake, there is an establishment plot against him.

6. Diplomacy.

7. His business accomplishments.

8. He’s pro-women.

9. A stellar first family.

10. A man of sound morals.

11. The celebrity factor is actually a huge plus.

12. His policies are spot-on, particularly immigration.

13. He can bring in independents.

14. The naysaying is rooted in careerists’ self-interests.

15. Negotiation skills.

16. Many Latinos love him.

17. African-Americans love him, too.

18. Heck, Americans idolize him.

19. By process of elimination

20. If he doesn’t earn the nomination, there is no hope for American politics.

>>I don’t consider support for universal healthcare, denial of private property rights, increased taxes and gun control mere “paint scratches” and “dirty ashtrays.”

Are those his positions now, or are those a collection of things he said in the past? Even George Washington fought for the British and tried to obtain a commission in the King’s regular army as a redcoat. Situations change and smart people adapt. We need smart people and not purists at this time.

I have concluded you and Cincinatus’ Wife don’t want our answers or persuasions...
You two just like to argue.

I’m through
Vote for your candidate, whoever that is, and leave us alone.
We’ve heard all your arguments and they are tiresome

Wasn’t the question yesterday what it would take for us to stop supporting Trump?

Does seem to be an agenda and vendetta afoot...

>>Tell me how.

No candidate has a plan for anything other than getting elected. None of them! Everything is just big talk. But Trump has actually done things other than win popularity contests. In fact, his success despite being an abrasive, arrogant asshole is one of this selling points for being the president.

Nice guys don’t succeed in that job, especially in today’s America of ideological purity on both sides and a uniparty that is devoted to turning the American People into serfs who beg for scraps from the tables of the government, foreign interests, and/or Wall St in order to survive.

So... God would vote for Hillary? lol.

Well, He doesn't vote but she certainly qualifies as "the basest of men(people)".

- Because it will take a person with Trump’s unique skill set to begin to undo the damage done to our Republic by the last 3 presidents (if not more). If we’re lucky, we’ll make it to Nov 2016 and will have one more chance to save ourselves from this slide into communism.

- Because Trump is not fixated on being politically correct and says what needs to be said. He loathes political correctness; he is brutally blunt; and his sense of timing is impeccable. But more importantly, people listen. It’s not just tea-party-minded people who are hearing him, but people from all walks of life, all racial and ethnic backgrounds, all socioeconomic levels, and all political ideologies. Can you say that about any of the others?

- Because Trump would be the strongest person to run against Hillary or Biden or Bernie or whoever ends up with the DNC coronation. The NRA crowd will not vote for Carson, someone who is weak on the 2nd Amendment. The non-religious crowd and libertarian-minded people will be afraid to vote for Cruz because of his evangelical approach to social issues. And what are the chances that gay people would vote for Carson or Cruz? What about atheists & agnostics? Young people who don’t even know what socialism IS? And what about Hispanics and Blacks? Yes, Cruz is Hispanic and Carson is black, but once the primaries are over (and after Trump deftly handles the upcoming RNC attack ads), which one of these three candidates would be more likely to fight back against the inevitable media and DNC onslaught of negativity?

Carson is a nice guy, but his solution would be to blink his way through it. Cruz is a brilliant constitutionalist, but his solution would be to debate his way through it. Well, screw that. It will take a bulldog to loosen the UniParty’s death grip on our Republic. While Carson is blinking and Cruz is bloviating, Trump will be Trump and blast his way through it by rallying Americans around him and charging headfirst into the enemy camp. Even Rush and Levin seem to realize this.

- Because we need to consolidate our efforts NOW to avoid a repeat of previous elections, where conservatives allow themselves to be divided against each other during the primaries while the GOP-E candidate (Jeb, Mittens, McCain, etc.) stands by laughing at the idiocy and ignorance of the “tea-bagger crowd.” In THIS election cycle, the last one in which we’ll even have a chance to win, the stakes are too high to lose, and for reasons stated above, Trump is the logical answer. Frankly, if Cruz and Carson cared about our country more than themselves, they would realize the obvious and reach out to Trump to create an unstoppable triad.

If your candidate choice is someone other than Carson or Cruz, don’t even bother responding.

I hope that helps. And just so you know, Trump is not my first choice, but this is a time for pragmatism :-)

I currently don’t have a candidate but since I posted the thread I will respond, ‘cause I am truly interested and would like to know:

When did Donald Trump first come on your radar?

When did you choose him as your presidential candidate?

If he wasn’t high in the polls, would you still support him?

Everything is just big talk.

So the candidate with the biggest talk and the most elaborate promises is the one to go for? I think that's what got us the current White House resident.

In fact, his success despite being an abrasive, arrogant asshole is one of this selling points for being the president.

For you, maybe. Not for me.

I’m out of time so i’ll be brief:

1. Radar: When he mentioned THE WALL, but he was just a blip at that point and nothing more.

2. I chose him over the others when i finally became convinced he could control his impulsivity when circumstances required it. The latest example: Trump’s adroitness at making Jeb defend his brother and 9/11 was amazing to watch. Jeb fell for it, and the Trump had his pre-9/11 book to reference. Brilliant.

3. Nope. If he wasn’t leading by a mile, I would still be undecided. Like i said, it’s pragmatism. We MUST win. And in order to win, we must ALL get behind one of them this time and be ready to dig in when the attacks get vicious (and they will.) Otherwise, the GOP-E will play us against each other, as usual, until their Flunkie is the only one left standing. And then he’ll lose in the general next year. Everyone KNOWS their Flunkie will lose, even THEM. But they don’t care! They’ll still have their perk$ and power.

THINK about that: The GOP-E does not care if they lose to the Democrats. They ONLY care that Trump or another outsider doesn’t win. Are you and the others here who dislike Trump (for whatever reason) willing to let that happen?

Carson and Cruz need to stand down and join the team. And I urge anyone reading this to send them that message. They are younger and their time will come, but ONLY if we can all circle the wagons around Trump to fight off what’s coming down the pike.

Thank you for your replay but I do not hold with this:

Local and state Republicans have worked to elect candidates who now control their state legislatures and hold the office of governor. They have been breaking their backs to put conservatives in D.C., now is not the time to just toss it all aside to elect the fellow who is ahead in the polls - someone who has been more in Hillary's camp than in the GOP camp.

>>So the candidate with the biggest talk and the most elaborate promises is the one to go for? I think that’s what got us the current White House resident.

Yes it is, and he has been very successful at getting his agenda up and running. We fool ourselves into thinking that he is a bumbling idiot, but he has done more to change America than any other president in my lifetime.

And all that change has been bad, but you can’t argue with his success at bringing Cloward-Piven to an inevitable conclusion.

The next president has to be equally capable of making big things happen in an environment where half of the people actively oppose his vision. Obama has succeeded in that environment. Cruz can’t even get stuff passed in the senate where his party has a nominal majority! How will he motivate welfare queens, hood rats, Unionist LIVs, and Globalists to stop and think about sacrificing their gibsmedats for the Greater Good?

And Trump doesn't? Build a wall and make Mexico pay for it? What if Mexico says no? Throw out NAFTA and TPP? Why should the countries involved want to re-negotiate?

Who says they have to want to re-negotiate with the USA?

With Trump as President, renegotiation with a foreign gummint will be like an 18 wheeler with his turn signal on.

The driver is signalling his intent, he's not axing your, UN-NEEDED, NOT REQUIRED, DON'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT, permission, he is coming so get the hell out of his way.

If you can't see that this is why the establishment is so worried about Trump, you can go and read jebbie's policy papers about border control, peace, love and amnesty.

“Please tell those of us who “just don’t get it” why this man is qualified and why you want this man to be president of the United States.”

I’m feeling as if I have nothing to lose so I’ll take a serious shot at answering this.

1. The plan has been to force Jeb Bush on us and nobody wants him.

2. There are only three candidates who seem to be worth consideration, Trump, Cruz and Carson, put them in any order you like but I don’t see any others. Fiorina is a joke put forward simply because she is a woman and many believe INCORRECTLY that the women of America, who are the majority of voters, can’t wait to elect a woman. We might as well vote for Rachel Ray. Come to think of it Rachel seems to be much better at business.

3. Cruz does not seem to be catching on very well with the voters so it won’t matter what he wants to do if he can’t get elected.

4. Carson is a super brilliant man but many see him as a Republican version of Jimmy Carter in too many ways and suspect that much of his support is simply based on his skin color. You may agree or disagree, I am simply stating what I believe the perception is.

5. Possibly most important is that so many who have voted Republican in the past are sick and tired of “political correctness” and don’t much give a flying damn anymore whether someone feels offended by Trump’s incautious manner.

6. These are desperate times and call for desperate measures, I’m not at all sure I want Trump as president but I am damned certain I DON’T want any democrat or any other Republican other than Cruz or MAYBE Carson. If there is a wall of fire coming behind me and a raging river ahead of me I am left with one certainty, I DO know how to swim even though I am no champion but I DON’T know how to walk through fire and survive. I don’t know how much sense all this makes but that is how it looks from here in SC.

You sound like a liberal.

I’m not kidding; you sound like a bleeding liberal.

Have you no idea what happens to the US economy when taxes and regulations are cut/slashed? No earthly idea?

You sound like congressional Dems whining, ‘How will we pay for a tax cut?’

You must not have been around in the eighties. Reagan cut taxes and regulations, and the economy ROARED. The gov. raked in $ hand over fist. Yes, the Dems spent it all and then some. But the point is that $ poured into DC like water through a sieve.

This economy is overdue for a blockbuster run. Obama has done everything the presidency enables one man to do to kill the US economy. He’s still at it. Keeping track of all his job and business killing regulations and related crud would take a thousand hrs a wk, minimum. If the economy was a stalk of corn, Obama has been thrashing that plant with a sledge hammer for seven years. Trump wants to water and fertilize it—and above all, stop trying to beat it to death.

But you, Pelosi, Reid et al just keep on worrying how Trump will pay for it. It’s what Dems do. [No, of course I don’t think you’re a Dem. I just think you’re acting like one.]

You sound like someone who never questions anything a politician promises.

I know what people say will happen. But all that have resulted are ever larger deficits because cutting taxes has never been coupled with cutting spending. And cutting regulation never has happened period.

Yes, the Dems spent it all and then some. But the point is that $ poured into DC like water through a sieve.

I didn't see the Republicans opposing any of it.

But you, Pelosi, Reid et al just keep on worrying how Trump will pay for it. It’s what Dems do.

Didn't you just say that it was the Dems who spent without worrying about where the money was coming from? Make up your mind.
