It will take a decade or more to fully account for the contamination levels at FD. - now that's just the way it is. What I mean by embarrassing is an account of lots of " wildlife in the area " and other stories as being "proof" that all is ok at Chernobyl. The FD reactor is still in meltdown, btw - way too early to even guess what is to come

Searching for "strange chernobyl mutants" produced a number of strange mutants, like these turtles:
And many strange mushrooms:

I never said all was peachy. What I’m saying is that a lot of the media and liberals mande a lot of baseless claims. And of course, they glom onto any nuke issue to prevent nuclear power from gaining acceptance.
But at the end of the day, there are millions of people living without issue atop the explosion site of two very dirty nuclear explosions without issue. There are still tours of sites that had hundreds of far more dirty nuclear blasts and there are still animals dying from overpopulation issues far, far exceeding those with nuclear related issues.

I’ve read that Godzilla and other Japanese science fiction monsters were the result of the nuke attacks on Japan and the “paranoia” (my word) that stemmed from them.

I agree there seems to be some kind of mutual mind set many Japanese share when it comes to monsters or invasion. Maybe it’s part of their DNA now, after eons of war with China and their own outer regions?

That would be bad. Mosquito's first inject their victims with radioactive anticoagulant!

“Now someone tell me that Fuku was or is going to end life on a continent.”
I never saw anyone claim that Fuku was or is going to end life on a continent. I’ve seen sociopathic nuke policy put forth by nuke apologists - those pro nukers often accuse anyone who wishes to discuss the epic levels of radioactive waste (fuku) being vented into the ocean and atmosphere of engaging mindless hysteria - all it takes is a comment like mine and suddenly accusations of “a continent is going to die” will falsely be attached to me. Sometimes nuke apologists post pictures of people panicking and yelling “oh noes” but that’s just propaganda. I’ve never, and will never, see the nuke industry accept any responsibility for what’s going in Fuku. Pro nuke “discourse” is just ridicule and nasty jokes.
