Team Trump and Team Carson Organize Non-RNC Debate Meeting…
The Conservative Treehouse ^ | 10/30/15 | Sundance

Posted on 10/30/2015 8:14:22 AM PDT by Amntn

This could be a YUGE shift amid the 2016 political continuum. According to media reports the Donald Trump and Ben Carson camps are currently organizing a meeting to discuss future debates.

The RNC is not currently invited.

There are two aspects inherent within this dynamic that cannot be over emphasized:

* First - Similar to the DNC tactics, by RNC Rule the candidates are barred from participating in, or organizing, debates that are outside of the Republican National Committee.

* Secondly, and perhaps more importantly, the RNC is Team Bush.

The RNC, as a current political construct, is a wholly owned subsidiary of the political dynasty known as the Bush Family. Currently, Jeb Bush is the candidate of the Bush family, and by extension the candidate of the RNC. Understanding this political dynamic is key to understanding the RNC/GOPe road map to nominate their candidate regardless of political opposition therein.

If Trump and Carson gather up enough support to strike against the RNC/GOPe apparatus there will be an internal war similar to the war within the republican party in 1978/1979. You might remember candidate Ronald Reagan organizing and paying for debates too.

When you combine this reality with the strategic deal-making acumen of Donald Trump, the scope of the needed popcorn buckets increases exponentially.

It is interesting, and brutally obvious to note, the Bush Team are absent from the initial media announcement:

[...] On Thursday, many of the campaigns told POLITICO that the RNC, which has taken a greater role in the 2016 debate process than in previous election cycles, had failed to take their concerns into account. It was time, top aides to at least half a dozen of the candidates agreed, to begin discussing among themselves how the next debates should be structured and not leave it up to the RNC and television networks.

The gathering is being organized by advisers to the campaigns of Donald Trump, Ben Carson, Bobby Jindal and Lindsey Graham, according to multiple sources involved in the planning. Others who are expected to attend, organizers say, are representatives for Carly Fiorina, Mike Huckabee, Rand Paul, Marco Rubio and Rick Santorum. The planners are also reaching out to other Republican candidates.

Spokespersons for the RNC did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

"I think the campaigns have a number of concerns and they have a right to talk about that amongst themselves," said Christian Ferry, Graham's campaign manager. The objective, Ferry said, was to "find out what works best for us as a group."

The RNC/GOPe are in a tight spot, and because Jeb Bush has his back against the wall, due to recent campaign/debate collapses, their ability to influence other candidates away from the meeting and subsequent conversation only adds additional leverage toward Team Trump and Team Carson.

This will be interesting...

A Possibility - Given the nature of their business interests and specific experience with broadcast production and media etc., it would be entirely possible for Team Trump to coordinate an independent debate format controlled and coordinated by people within his network group and contracted to meet the needs of each campaign.

Team Trump knows how to put on the event, how to coordinate the entire venture, and how to contract -for profit- the broadcast rights to any media outlet of their collective choosing. The campaigns would not only be in control of the venue, moderators and debate format, they could effectively profit from the associated revenue.

It would be beyond wonderful to see the RNC apparatus removed from the business end of selling their candidates to piranha left-wing media.

Obviously this would expose the RNC/GOPe machine to a loss of control and power. As a consequence, Team Bush would not look favorably upon such a possibility.

Some of those folks are virulently anti-Trump like Prager, Hume, Shapiro... We need fairness. Neutral opinion for all candidates.

Thanks for vetting the list.

Thanks for your suggestions. I guess it shows that I haven’t watched Fox in a long time now. Sheryl Attkinson = very interesting possibility!

I’d much rather they just take over the GOP and declare the establishment irrelevant.

Replace Van Sustern with Michelle Malkin, Andrea Tantaros, Katie Pavlich, Dana Loesch or Tomi Lahren and you are good to go. And add Steve Deace or David Barton.

More nonsense.

It appears you were born yesterday. Let me enlighten you.

Every politician who has ever been born says "I'm different." The blind followers of every politician who has ever been born say "he's different."

Every president in my lifetime -- which goes back to Truman, assures the public that his choice of vice president will be different. [Because he wants to get voters who may not vote for him to vote for the ticket, and they won't do that if the VP doesn't matter.]

It never is. It never will be. There is no Constitutional role for the Vice President of the United States except one. No president can change that, and no president ever has. The people who are like "vice presidents in Trump's companies" have a name. They are called "cabinet officers."

Trump is a politician like any other. You need to get that through your head. There is nothing in the least bit different about him. He is telling his constituency what they want to hear, and he is drawing new voters into his constituency by telling them what they want to hear.

Trump is not God. He is not a Messiah. He is not really even the most successful "business man" in the country. He is now a politician. And he is going to do [and has been doing] political things. And his choice of VP will be a political decision, IF he gets that far.

The third moderator is probably the most conservative of the bunch and that is Sandra Smith. Smith used to argue on Hannity with Rebecca Gomez Diamond before she quit Fox Business Channel in 2011 on a range of topics. She sounded pretty conservative.

Bad News...Sandra Smith was replaced by a Wall Street Journal loser Gerard Baker. So since that’s the case...The Debate moderators are iffy.

Not all politicians lie. Hitler published Mein Kampf and then went out and did exactly what he said he was going to do.

Obama published “Faith of my Fathers”, and then went out and did exactly what he said he was going to do.

It seems only Republicans lie their collective asses off to get elected. Autocrats and liberals don’t have to lie. They tell you exactly how its going to be.

I'll give you that, sweetest Guenevere!!
"I" haven't wanted to pay this much attention to a primary race until Mr. Trump announced and now because I know he's 'in it to win it,' I actually care about who wins our GOP nomination!

Oh, I'll be plenty happy should Ted Cruz win, but I think Donald Trump is likely a "once in a lifetime" unique candidate and opportunity.

There were plenty of things that Hitler lied about. The NSDAP economic program, for one thing, was never really enacted; and Hitler had no intention of enacting it although he said we would.

Obama claimed to be a "new" kind of politician. Among the ways in which he claimed to be "new" was that he was post-racial. Of course we got the same old race baiting and racialist identity politics from him and his party. He also claimed that he was "not an ideologue," one of the most outrageous howlers in the history of politics. Both were lies, and huge ones.

All politicians lie. The only US President who didn't have to lie was Washington; because he wasn't a politician.
