November 6, 2015: GOP Presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson addressed the media this evening on the alleged false claims he made in his book, "Gifted Hands", including that he received a full scholarship offer to West Point and that he allegedly tried to stab a friend and hit his mother with a hammer.

There are dozens of athletes and academically gifted kids recruited to service academies every year. Ben Carson described what happens to some kids every year. Appointments are arranged after the prospects decide to take the offer.
That he is. His IQ is probably higher than all the other candidates, maybe save for Cruz.
Dr. Carson handled the questions well. He’s right - the media are desperate, trying to find something to bring him down.
All I want to know ( and I will shut up ) is — WAS THERE A RECORDED SCHOLARSHIP OFFERED AT WP. Otherwise he is a pathological psychopathic LIAR in my opinion. This is beyond unacceptable.

There is no such thing as a “recorded scholarship” to a service academy.
It seems that such a “smart person” like you should know that.
He was recruited - it is understood that since it is a service academy it is not only free, they are paid a stipend. He did not pursue it. It happens all the time.
The “sport he played”’was called saving lives. That’s quite a psychotic profile, right?

Ben Carson did a fantastic job. I am not one of his supporters, but I consider him to be a man of impeccable character and integrity. The pack of journalistic jackals deserve our scorn. Well done Dr. Carson.
