Firearms used in a felony must be kept in evidence until the conclusion of all court proceedings (trials and appeals). This can be decades.

If the case is never solved it may lay in evidence forever.

So this argument is a red herring. Not to mention that it is not the fault of the firearm that it was used in a murder. The Left has little problem releasing felons so why not release firearms?

Those numbers don't sound right. Yes, Atlanta and its environs are a big area, but six guns per day, day after day, for THREE years? And every single one of them were involved in a homicide? Please. The AJC recently reported crime-related deaths were the lowest in years, averaging 80-85 per year. A very slanted/inaccurate article. Journalism students, use this as a good example of agitprop.
