They want a ‘person of color’ to preside over the university. I’d call it quits, take my pension and move to the north woods to escape this horse**** if I were prez of the university.
Let them sit out. Maybe the pro scouts will come down and watch them play in some pick up games at the Walmart parking lot.
Here’s a better idea. Let’s get rid of intercollegiate athletics! It’s just a disgrace how college athletic teams bring in a bunch of people who really don’t have the mental accuity to be there, prop them up so they can stay matriculated, so they can play this sport or another. Just how does that comport with what college is supposed to be about? Yeah, I know there’s a ton of money involved. Coaches make millions, and the schools count on TV revenue and all that BS. But none of it furthers the mission of a college education.
Are they on athletic scholarships? If they are, they have contracts with the university, so they either play or they need to figure out a way to pay for their education.
Follow the money.
Who is the lead mouthpiece?
Who gave him the idea?
What is the exact accused infraction against the president? Any quotes or thought crimes?
Why don’t they just make like those Berkeley High School (Calif) kids, who walked out over SOMEONE scribbling some racist stuff on a school computer...

Canceling games will not be appreciated by the TV networks who are paying big bucks to broadcast them.

Actually the whole team has joined the walk-out. Lord knows what the university president was supposed to do. But I doubt there is anything he could have done that would have made the students happy.
Their season has been mediocre so far. If the players and coach do not show for the games, play the games anyway with what you have. Then sack the coach for a losing season. The players can be told that they have lost their scholarships and now must pay for the semester or be kicked out. Yes, it is hard*ss, but most of them will not make it into the NFL so they will need to get a job in the real world. And that will probably be their first lesson in the real world.

1) Fire Coach Pinkel
2) Terminate all the scholarships of the athletes who refuse to play.
3) Oust them from the SEC
4) If all this doesn't get Mizzou to field a team, then have the NCAA kill the program. End all athletic scholarships.
Will they be protesting every time a black intimidates, terrorizes, robs, assaults, rapes, or murders a non Black which happens daily? Don’t think so.
