Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson is firing back at the media after a series of press investigations into his background.
He has the evidence, he said Sunday on ABC's "This Week," to prove that reports amount to nothing more than a "hit job."
The Republican presidential candidate targeted two investigations in particular: CNN's inability to corroborate his claim of having a violent childhood, and The Wall Street Journal's questioning of the existence of a psychology class he said he took at Yale University.
In a Facebook post early Monday morning, Carson posted what he said was a 1997 Parade Magazine in which his mother backed up his claims of violent incidents:

Politico reported that Carson never received a "full scholarship" to West Point, as he wrote in his book. Carson now says he received an informal offer — he said he was told he would be a candidate for admission by a US military official -- that he interpreted as a scholarship offer.
Meanwhile, CNN talked to people who knew Carson in his teenage years. The network's investigation could not find anyone who remembered the doctor known for his calmness as a violent child who attacked his mother and tried to stab a friend, as portrayed in his book. Carson now describes the stabbing victim as a close relative and says he is protecting the person's identity from the media.

Hmmm so the Leftist media talks to 3-4 people, cannot verify Carson's story and so start screaming “Carson lied”.
Rational people know it does not work that way. REAL Journalist know better. Real Journalists use to have a standard that you cannot prove absence by just claiming an absence of proof. You have to actually prove the statement false
Pity we have no real Journalists left.
He could have said he was born to “poor and White folk” and been more honest than Obama’s ghost writer. Where was the outrage then?
He should have just posted the picture I saw of Jesus with his hand on Ben Carson’s shoulder as proof he was honest.
Of course if it were a Democrat under scrutiny, we’d be awash in posts of, “if you’re getting flak you must be over the target,” and “where there’s smoke, there’s fire,” and “he doth protest too much.”
Carson’s a pillow case full of mice. There’s a terrific amount of crap going on in there, but all you can see is one bulge after another.
Carson has likely embellished his life story, but much more important are his positions on the issues. Support for TPP, gun control, amnesty, Puerto Rican statehood, as well as his Pacifists views that endanger the security of our country should concern voters.
Can you imagine the outrage if Carson were a Democrat (although he’s way too intelligent to be one) and these charges were made by anyone, especially a conservative - even if they were true, the left’s shrill scream of “racism” would be deafening!
Funny, I haven’t heard Dr. Carson say one word about racism, even though this is probably more racially motivated than most of the racism claims by the left.

Actually, the *real* journalists are silenced, demeaned and fired-—for about 80 years or more. Diana West, Evans and many have documented this promotion of Lies and “proper perceptions” of the masses (and school children) since Edward Bernays.

I’m not a Carson supporter. There is plenty of good reasons to go after him on ideological and policy grounds.
The current media stuff is silly and dishonest. Any fellow Repub who jumps onto the bandwagon embarrasses himself because this stuff isn’t going to hurt Carson. This is the kind of thing that, either it knocks him out or it makes him stronger. It isn’t going to knock him out. It will make him stronger.
The media will do this kind of thing to anyone they perceive as a threat. We use to call it “Borking” after another famous victim. They are all going to get their turn and you’ll see people here banging the drum too. Like I say, its fair to go after someone for their views or their character. But made-up media attacks should be ignored, considering the source.
I think Ben has a natural talent for that on his own. This response to a brutal attack on our home land is what I have been hoping people will come to realize makes us even more vulnerable to our enemies.
The syllabus he posted is from 2002, not the early 1970’s.

All the Doctor needed to do was look at his college transcript — when he wrote the book or yesterday. It would be the same, and it would show the exact name, course number and grade for the course.
It isn’t rocket science or brain surgery.
According to comments at the original, Carson showed a 2002 syllabus to justify the name of a course he took in the 1970s.
I wonder if the painting with Jesus was a gift from an admirer or if Carson commissioned it, himself. I’ve never seen anything like it elsewhere, but maybe I just don’t get out enough.
The Bible verse shown elsewhere is strange, too, in that it has Proverbs misspelled.
The level of lying that most media outlets clock in at is just shy of the level of liar that Al Gore or Sheldon Whitehouse are, but close. Very close.
