Cruz tends to be an afterthought in the Sunday show chatter, and on TV generally.
The Atlantic tracks candidate mentions on cable TV. Over the past 100 days, Cruz ranks ninth among all presidential candidates from both parties, well behind Chris Christie and just above Kasich. Over about the past 30 days, he's still ninth, just ahead of that juggernaut Martin O'Malley.
A Washington Post analysis specifically looked at the amount of cable TV coverage devoted to each candidate compared with his or her position in the polls. It found that Cruz got 60 percent less coverage than you'd otherwise expect from July through October.
The political press corps made up its mind about him - too divisive - as soon as he showed up in Washington, and has never entirely gotten over its dismissive treatment of his campaign.
Nonetheless, it should be obvious to any fair observer that Cruz is a serious threat for the nomination. Be warned, and get over it.

Another MSM article about the MSM.
I told you guys. Now that NRO is on board and Lowry, it ought to show some people that they KNOW Cruz can be knocked out easily by Rubio. Having failed to elevate Carson, they are going all out now for Cruz to take out Trump so they can bait and switch Rubio for Cruz.
I will say, Sean Hannity on Fox is giving **lots** of coverage to Cruz, several interviews a week, it seems like. Sean can’t say it, but I think Cruz is his favorite candidate. Mine too.
“The political press corps made up its mind about him - too divisive”
More likely, he’s a highly articulate and persuasive advocate for policies that they oppose. When they try to debate him, they lose, decisively. Better to ignore him, lest the people hear him.
I don't know where you're getting that from.
Threat?
How about hope?
“Threat?
How about hope?”
That’s the Ticket!
The only one smoking anything is anyone who thinks ANY of these pundits like Ted Cruz or think he can win anything. Their goal is, and always has been, Rubio or Bush. Since Bush seems pretty much finished, it is Rubio or nothing. The do not, nor will they ever, support Cruz. But they will support him long enough to get rid of Trump.
You heard it here first.
Hey There! Interesting developments this week, no? Cruz addressing the H1-B visa issue this week has some folks upset.
Its possible, but I don’t think they’ve given up on Rubio yet.
But I do not think Cruz will be so easily used & shoved aside. They will have a tiger by the tail, so to speak.
“I love the smell desperation in the morning!”
No, he won’t go easily. I just hope Cruzers are aware that all the good press he’s getting recently isn’t because he’s earned it or that the drive-bys have a sudden change of heart. Rather I think it shows their desperation that having fired Kasich, Carson, and Fiorina at Trump with no noticeable effect, they are willing to even try Cruz.
‘Last debate, let’s be honest, Carly cut [Trump’s] balls off with the precision of a surgeon and he knows it,’ National Review editor Rich Lowry said during an appearance Wednesday night on Fox News’s “The Kelly File.”’
What do I care what the GOPe thinks or what motivates them. Clearly the man has an awesome mind for debate and communication and was going to stand out from the field sooner or later anyway.
Anyway I am willing to support Trump if he’s the nominee. I hope Trump supporters are astute enough to support Cruz if he is.
People tend to develop an emotional stake in their candidate that after awhile begins to defy logic.
This sort of exclusion bias w/r/t a couple of candidates -- Cruz, Trump -- is under discussion on a couple of other live FR threads on media debate coverage. Several people have noticed it, and they agree about which candidates are being shorted/screwed.
Which is not to say that those candidates are actually being hurt by MSM malice.
Iowa can make life interesting. In a caucus state the candidate that does the best job getting his or her supporters to the cauci will be the winner. This is where Cruz success at the "Cattle Calls" will be significant.
If Cruz wins in Iowa it will be a game changing earthquake of about 9.6 on the scale. It will put a whole new wheel on the wagon.
If he comes in 4th or 5th in Iowa he will join most other guys I liked best in the last quarter century.
P.S. I do enjoy the way Trump is using illegal immigration to make puree of the squishy candidates who will never be President and the press.
