FORT DODGE, IOWA â Billionaire candidate Donald Trump raised further questions about Dr. Ben Carson's biography and character, questioning the story about the doctor attempting to stab one of his friends when he was young.
In the course of a rally here, Trump questioned Carson's story that his friend's belt buckle stopped the knife, causing it to break.

Ah, more assumptions! Until I came back to FR and got a load of his supporters I did, indeed, back Trump even though I like Cruz. People like you, rabid wolves, do a lot of damage. Now Trump is demeaning a brilliant surgeon on a personal level. I’m quickly coming to the conclusion that he and his supporters are quite a bit alike, loud and brash. I’m now questioning how I have defended Trump to others and people like you aren’t helping Trump at all.
Bush, Kasich and Fiorina does NOT equal Carson.
Have a look at 125 in this thread please, I’d like to hear your thoughts on it. TIA
Well you were wrong in 2000 too, Steve Forbes would have made a vastly better president then that empty suit W.
‘West Point does not “make offers”’
From all that I have read, this is absolutely true. West Point has a standard admissions procedure designed to be uniform, fair and professional.
People have said there is flexibility inherent in their procedure, and that may be true. Still, at least a semblance of the time honored procedure would adhere. Otherwise the admissions procedure would become chaotic and meaningless. I.e.: at a minimum, they’d limit ‘offers’ to cadets who WANT to be at West Point, and who have passed the physical.
From another article about this
While Trump has made a number of outlandish statements with no penalty from Republican voters, turning on Carson in such a bitter way could mark a turning point for the New York mogul whose take-charge attitude has kept him at the top of the polls for months.

If it turns on Trump (and who knows if it will) I think it will be with a vengence
There are plenty of us out here that think the real liar is Trump. And we don’t buy his NY tough guy routine just like we didn’t buy Hope and Change.
I shouldn’t have to say it but Im not for Carson either (except maybe as a VP )
But Trump has done an excellent job in convincing me that my anti Trump instincts are correct
Yeah, I liked Forbes quite a bit. Too bad he didn’t win the nomination.
Forbes was my pick, too. He did about as well as my pick typically does.
There is a procedure for that, you register the child birth with a US embassy when the child does not receive dual citizenship and is a natural born citizen of the USA.
How would Trump know?
Yeah. I don’t think my first choice has ever gotten the nomination. I forget who ran for the GOP nomination when GHWB was the nominee. Don’t think I paid too much attention back then.
It does matter what you “believe”. He provided documentation that says he was born in the USA. The born in the USA part is important. And you can take it to the bank that if Cruz is the nominee the Rats will skin him alive on the NOT “born in the USA” thing.
We all hold a whole lot of weird, goofy opinions. Thankfully, our friends and family look past them, no?
Your post re the Iranian and his American wife is a good one—very well thought through and succinctly laid out. My take is that, for worse [as opposed to for better or for worse] we are living in a post-modern world. Reason, logic and even truth aren’t the operative metrics. We now use social justice and non-discrimination as our guidelines.
Meaning that, in a post-modern world, the Iranian-born individual you described is good to go. From POTUS on down, the foreigner gets the green light.
If I was a member of the SDA, I'd be a cult member, like Ben Carson and Mitt Romney. By the grace of God, I'm not!
Some of us see the West Point thing as a problem, simply because to the esteem that goes with being accepted by West Point. It is kinda like "stolen valor" vets tend to be upset about.
“And we donât buy his NY tough guy routine just like we didnât buy Hope and Change.”:
Trump has fought in the real estate trenches, a notoriously tough field to play upon, for 30 years and has won big-time, hasn’t he. He’s got a proven track record as to his resilience and toughness. And that’s for 30 whole years he has battled it out in such a competitive and cut-throat business, not just the term of a Presidency and then you’re out.
“turning on Carson in such a bitter way could mark a turning point for the New York mogul whose take-charge attitude has kept him at the top of the polls for months”:
And how many times has this been said before, lol. A turning point? Yet another one to add to all the others? You jest of course.
“But Trump has done an excellent job in convincing me that my anti Trump instincts are correct”:
That’s because, as Trump says, you are one of the losers, probably by nature.
Well philosophically speaking, it’s unlikely we’re both the kiss of death, since we support different candidates. Let’s hope one or the other of us is backing a winner this go round. Then at a minimum we’ll get a respite from a Dem in the WH.
I am still pissed off at Allen Keyes for stabbing Forbes in the back and throwing the primaries to W.
