National Reviewâs Kevin Williamson is out promoting his soon-to-be released book entitled, âThe Case Against Trump.â A recent news release from a public relations firm pushing Willamson and the book suggests that the bookâs âthesisâ will present both a condemnation Trump and the plurality of Republican voters who support Trump.
The release reads in part:
âTHESIS⦠[Trump] has connected with an under-appreciated strain of right-wing populists, ranging from anti-NAFTA activists to outright white nationalists, by focusing his fire on a single issueâimmigration, especially illegal immigration from Mexico and Central America. In this Encounter Broadside book, National Reviewâs Kevin D. Williamson takes a hard look at the Trump phenomenon, and the failures of the national Republican leadershipâand defects in our national characterâthat gave it life.â

LOL. Like ANYTHING more from NRO will “turn the tables” on Trump. NRO has been attacking Trump with every author, every day for four months.
WARNING TO GOP:
Nominate an amnesty candidate and you will lose by bigger margins than the last two Designated Losers.
I guess there is such as thing as a “conservative establishment”, exemplified by National Review.
Yes! Been thinking about the crossover appeal.
Do we assume that Trump has an additional 10 points like the new governor of Kentucky?
If he paid my mortgage I might vote for him
Five people will read this book, but the author/propagandist will get to appear on all the news shows.
Rubio has a lot of ground to cover to get from 9.7% to 34%. Highly doubtful.
Vote for Hillary or Bernie then. They are your best bet at getting free stuff.
They pretty much just suck now.
Doesn’t appear to be a winning strategy.
Trump keeps rising in the polls.
Yes. The point is, though, NRO has been on an anti-Trump jihad for four months. There is nothing they can say that changes the polling or the crowds, and it sends them into a rage.
This GOP primary has truly exposed the enemies within the rightwing media. A jaundiced eye should be used in reading any National Review article going forward.
“...will present both a condemnation Trump and the plurality of Republican voters who support Trump.”
If he thinks he can force us Trump supporters to feel any condemnation for our support of Trump, then he is a bigger fool than I thought. And to support the very girlish Rubio, who has trouble hiding his lisp...
Bill Buckley’s must be spinning 360s
Right now I don’t see anything stopping Trump as long as illegal immigration is the focus and today the issue just got gasoline thrown on it with the Paris attacks. A nation without secured borders is a nation without national security.
