and a significant sustained effort may be effective in dissolving the cancer.

The Bastille district has been known for Muslim criminal gangs. I have a friend that was badly beaten there a few years ago -- 200 stitches. He was coming to the defense of a Frenchman he was conversing with in a restaurant, who went just outside the restaurant to buy cigarettes. He said he thinks he broke the nose of one of them, got some licks in on two others (he holds a black belt), then more jumped in -- he lost. 2 days in the hospital but the Frenchman stayed with him and translated for him.
The French police said it was a Moroccan gang.
