Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson struggled Sunday to attach specifics to his plan to defeat the Islamic State militant group, vividly illustrating the former neurosurgeon's difficulty discussing foreign-policy matters.
Speaking on "Fox News Sunday," Carson could not name a specific country or leader he would call to assemble an international coalition to counter the Islamic State, despite being asked three times by host Chris Wallace.
"My point being that if we get out there and we really lead and it appears that we're making progress, that all of the Arab states and even the non-Arab states who are, I think, beginning to recognize that the jihad movement is global" will join, Carson said.
He suggested that he would shoot down a Russian plane if it violated a U.S.-led no-fly zone over Syria, even when told that the decision could prompt Russia to shoot down a U.S. plane in response.
"If they violate it, we will, in fact, enforce it. We'll see what happens. For us to always be backing down because we're afraid of a conflict, that's not how we became a great nation, Chris," he said.

You didn’t read what I said. I do NOT want Carson as our President. I do NOT think he is capable. His answers today were weak. Don’t take me out of context.... read what I type here.
And I expected some to attack me. I am well aware of the trouble our country is in. Very well aware... that’s why I am a Trump supporter. I don’t care what the media does.. I know they are harsh.. I was venting my frustration over their treatment (lack of) on hillary just last night... and then hitting on Carson this morning. Hit on hillary and then think about hitting on Carson. I have a fairness gene that kicks in when the media picks and chooses who they hit. And last I heard, I have a right to speak. (I contributed to FR.. so I thought I had a right to vent on here also.)
I just think the ugly remarks do not help our cause. I don’t see the need in the attacks from fellow conservatives. I do believe Carson will drop out as he, himself, sees he is not ready nor prepared for this. I’m not worried about Carson... I’m concerned the dems will do anything to get hillary in.. and why is she allowed to run?.. protection from the media and the justice dept is allowing her to run for the President of the United States.. UNBELIEVABLE! Why would Wallace not comment on that this morning? Why wouldn’t the panel mention what she has done? taking millions from foreign donors... she isn’t fit to run for anything.. let alone the Presidency. But they work on Carson. Yea, it bothers me a lot.. when they have the mike, the camera.. and do nothing good with it.
Whatever you think of Carson, he is not in the category of obama, hillary and the left... he is not that kind of man. He tried... he probably didn’t even know himself, if he was capable.... but he gave it a go... that’s more than all of congress has done.

Yes, I’m well aware of all the trouble the United States of America is in. I go way back... way back.. and I’m not ignorant.. I have children and grandchildren who I care about.. a lot. Honest critics don’t use false information and sniper attacks. They also don’t scream about him being black, soft spoken and honest about his conversion from troubled teen to responsible, successful adult. Rabid Trump supporters do, however.

In a world where the media is for all intents and purposes wholly owned by the Left, why would it be so strange for them to hire polling firms that would give them the figures they wanted to support their line of propaganda?

I believe that the populace segments and questions were gamed to provide Carson better than actually standing.
I believe that if you game the situation right, you can use segments that seem reasoned, but can even be gamed within those segments.
I think they did a number on the public, and it’s beginning to show now that Carson’s “inflate gate” is dwindling.

To this point it seems the polls have been used to manipulate public opinion. As voting gets closer, they will tighten up to try and salvage their relevance and reputations.
I didn't like it when Bush the Governor of Fla. wouldn't do anything, and I don't think well of Carson for taking the stand that he has, after all he was a doctor and they take an oath....
I think they both should go back home and enjoy whatever it that they do....
Neither one of them should be anywhere near the White House...

Some people would have figured out from my screen name that I am a vet. My dad died in a bleak, dark VA hospital and I’m scared spitless that I might have to go to a bad VA hospital when I’m old seeing as how hundreds (thousands?) of vets died waiting for care.

discounting the documented scandals where people who are supposed to be treating vets are lining their own pockets. Who cares about vets? Me who wants to improve the failing system or you who mindlessly supports the status quo?
We should move away from the century old model and give Vets modern vouchers for care. The VA should focus on military-related injuries, like burns, spinal chord and brain injuries.

Wallace should know he’ll be called on the carpet by Roger Ailes for daring to challeger Saint Ben. Apparently he didn’t get the word to lay off asking any tough questions of the designated Trump slayer.
Based on last night’s debate, I see that the liberals’ plan to combat ISIS and terrorism is to let more Muslims into the US and to refuse to utter the words “Radical Islam”.
