Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said Sunday he would bring back waterboarding as a strategy in interrogations of suspected terrorists.
"I would bring it back, yes. I would bring it back. I think waterboarding is peanuts compared to what they'd do to us," Trump told "This Week" on ABC. "We have to be strong. You know, they don't use waterboarding over there; they use chopping off people's heads."

I loved Trump’s response, to Lyin Steffy, to this.
He said, Yes....they’re over there chopping heads off, and drowning people in cages...so, yes, water boarding is on the table. (my paraphrasing)
I remember early on in the Obama administration, Obama was so proud of himself as he banned “torture” and banned waterboarding, saying we need to live up to our values and all that. Which ties in with how he says we will defeat terror by the example of our ideals, etc.
I hope this comes up in political debates. Are people like ISIS really inspired if they see us live up to some lofty ideal??? Will this really create within them a compassion, and a love of humanity which will stop them from killing us??? Really?? Let’s have that debate.

We are having that debate right now. It is why the establishment just as much as the Dems are shaking in their boots at the possibility of a Trump presidency. Do you think Donald Trump will continue to get our soldiers killed and maimed with the outrageous ROE they are suffering under because of Obama? Hell NO! I can put up with his little warts because he is a PATRIOT! His HEART is in the RIGHT PLACE!

In 2006, the Bush administration banned torture including waterboarding on detainees.
Probably close to the same reason. Anymore, I don't see much difference between Obama and the GOPe.

A few days ago he said that the American people need to bare arms as they go about their daily lives in order to help protect America.
Then he said that some Muslim mosques need to be shut down because they were probably being used for terrorist activities.
Now he ways he’ll bring back waterboarding for our enemies.
