After Donald Trump in recent weeks suggested stepping up security measures to put further scrutiny on Muslim Americans, such as surveilling mosques, liberals and conservatives alike called his ideas fascist.
But in case those critiques didn't get the point across, some politicians and pundits are now making a more direct connection between Trump's views and Nazism.

For instance, New Day for America, the super PAC supporting the candidacy of Ohio's GOP Gov. John Kasich, released a web video this week featuring retired Air Force Col. Tom Moe, a former Vietnam POW. Moe is shown speaking at an event in Ohio, where he warns about the potential danger Trump's candidacy poses by paraphrasing the famous anti-Nazi remarks delivered by pastor Martin Niemöller.
"You might not care if Donald Trump says Muslims should register with their government, because you're not one," Moe is shown saying over ominous music. "And you might not care if Donald Trump says he's going to round up all the Hispanic immigrants, because you're not one. And you might not care if Donald Trump says it's okay to rough up black protesters, because you're not one. And you might not care if Donald Trump wants to suppress journalists, because you're not one. But think about this: If he keeps going, and he actually becomes president, he might just get around to you. And you better hope there's someone left to help you."

I think we are also well past another point of no return; the point where ‘the king has to die, or we will’.
Trump has to win this, otherwise the ‘king’, the GOPe, is going to destroy everything and everyone he has touched.
Never again will anyone be allowed to get close to even running for elective office unless they have GOPe blessing.
Every avenue will be guarded, land mined, blown up.
Cruz supporters are deluding themselves is they think Ted would last more than ten minutes after Donald falls.
That said, Trump is going to make it, including for the reasons you pointed out.
And it won’t be close, but it will be exciting.
I can hardly wait for the post-primary campaigns.

It's now apparent the GOPe has completely thrown in with the Donor Class to stop Donald Trump by electing Hillary Clinton.
They have crossed the Rubicon with this new line of attack and are certainly aware the base of the party will NEVER vote for any GOP candidate after this.
This move not only shows who they really are, but also shows they are willing to sacrifice every other Republican in order to stop Trump.
Who here will vote for ANY GOP candidate if they succeed in killing off Trump? Would you not stay home and force a POTUS, Senate, House sweep by the Democrats?
Or, are there still some here who would vote for "the right Republican" for the myriad Federal offices?
Ted Cruz and all "true conservatives" will be eliminated or converted within hours of Trump's fall.

I’ve been mulling over the question you raised. Not too seriously though, Trump is going to have a landslide.
Cruz is truly the conservative, but as I pointed out up thread, if Trump falls the whole house we have is going to crash to the ground. The chances of a President Cruz, at least this time around, is zero.
So this is what we have.
I’ve tentatively come to the conclusion that it Trump doesn’t win, I’m done with politics.
For me, that’s earth shattering, FR, Rush, talk radio, all that is my entire hobby.
I don’t know what I’ll do instead, but somehow I’m just going to bury myself in something else.

I, too, am sick of it all. I’m sick of the media, the bashers on here, the GOPe and of course, the DEMs. I refuse to b swayed by any negative articles or what any pundit says., They don’t exist any more, as far as I’m concerned.

So I won't post anymore, I won't click a link, if it's any of the liberal news, I won't go there, I don't have cable, and I listen to music on my radio....I do however go to Conservative Tree House, for my positive news, but that's it...

From this day forward, I will not be reading anything negative about Trump or Cruz...I don’t have cable, so they can’t get me there, I don’t have a ‘newspaper’ so that’s out also, and I don’t go around on the internet looking for things...there are cookies and they track you, not me, not anymore, I’ll go back to playing online games like I used to...
I won’t give them the satisfaction of tracking me anymore and if Conservative Tree House starts getting weird, I’ll stop that also...

Forgive me, but I have to ask...you do know that there are groups that track you on Free Republic too, right? Whenever I log into this site, my Ghostery tracker detector lists several trackers, the most predominant ones being “Google Analytics” and “Twitter Badge.”
I don’t disagree that this is a battle for liberty, but I’m having so much fun that I call it my hobby.

What is it about a Great America,
with only legal immigrants,
real employment numbers,
smaller government,
greatly reduced welfare rolls,
honest to goodness private solutions to health insurance,
greatly reduced taxes for individuals and corporations,
and more. that you object to?
Fair enough. Thank you for your response. I have not dropped out. I simply seek information/entertainment in other media that are more liberty-oriented. I am usually attacked whenever I post anything on FR, because I value liberty more than the average Republican. I see Trump as a sideshow circus act. And while claiming to be an “outsider,” he is very close and chummy to a lot of politicians. I hope that he does not get nominated or elected. And if he does, then I hope like hell and pray that I am wrong about him.
