“All sales have to be facilitated by a dealer, even private sales”

Washington State has a similar law now, but LE refuses to enforce it and I have never heard of an independent buyer/seller comply with it.

uhhh...okay. So what “background check” with this Fayed Sarook guy would’ve stopped him getting a gun?

He was in Pakistan?
He met his wife in Saudi Arabia?
He is a Muslim?

What do you want on those background checks, Hussein?

By the way, how about running a background check on Hussein, media? No?

Private businesses only have to comply with laws. Federal agencies are the only entities bound to comply with executive orders.

Neither I or my family will comply.

White House officials are seeking a way to use executive authority to close the so-called gun show loophole that allows thousands of people to buy guns each year without a background check

Like they do on every issue democrats twist words to conceal their true objectives.

They coin catchy terms and slogans that describe the exact opposite of what they really mean.

Remember their "Affordable Care Act" to describe a medical plan that is more costly and unaffordable?

Well "Gunshow Loophole" is just another catchy term they thought up to make their demands sound sort of reasonable.

Their real objective is to shut down all private party transfers.

They want to make it illegal for us to sell a gun to a friend, give it as a gift, or pass it on at death without background checks and government approval.

These kinds of laws and rules always lead to abuse and less freedom.

As an example: If you are just a regular citizen just try to get a pistol permit in NY State or a permit for any kind of weapon in NY City.

BTW, he can try his Pen And Phone (PAP) solution all he wants.

The courts WILL block him.

Even his Sneak In Muslims Program (SIMP) has been blocked by courts. Appeals court keeps block on Obama immigration actions

What is really needed is expanded background checks for people who run for president. That would have preempted a shipload of problems and saved thousands of lives had that been done diligently 7-8 years ago.

Interesting. Its is not required where I live (Kansas), but I know people who have voluntarily done it. Just for their own protection, some people don’t want to sell a gun to a complete stranger and have him turn around and do something terrible. If you go to websites that facilitate private sales, like ‘Midwest gun trader’, some of the ads will say “FFL Required”. Some of these are dealers, but others are individuals who are voluntarily doing the check.
