California has no ‘gun show loophole’. All sales have to be facilitated by a dealer, even private sales, so a background check/10 day waiting period can occur.
The only exception is handing a gun to a ‘close family member’.

If this were true, 60 Minutes, Dateline et al, would highlight it in an episode. "Gun show loophole so big, we purchased ALL these guns"
It's never happened...why? Because it isn't true.Although, a few years back one of them tried and failed to purchase a gun at a show, so the story was scrapped.
