LOWNDES CO., GA (WALB) - Two Afghan national flight team members, maintainers, or aircraft mechanics, who have been training to fly with the 81st Fighter Squadron at Moody Air Force Base, are missing.
Multiple law enforcement agencies received an alert from Moody Officials. They referred all initial calls to the Air Force Press Desk at the Pentagon. Phone calls to that office have not yet been returned.
Moody Air Force Base later issued a release by email:
Two male Afghan air force students did not report for duty yesterday at their regular maintenance training at Moody AFB in Valdosta, Georgia. Both are assigned to the 81st Fighter Squadron. They have been at Moody since. February 2015 and were screened prior to their arrival in the United States more than a year ago. The students have trained alongside American counterparts for the entirety of 2015 and do not pose any apparent threat. There is a well-coordinated process among federal agencies to locate the individuals as quickly as possible and return them accordingly to the proper authorities to manage their present situation.
Bingo. Close relative told me that the clubs were well attended on weekends by mooselimb students near the base where he was stationed.

When I was in USAF pilot training , there was an Afghan in training that had been washed back, from class to class, many times because he could not hack the program. To send him back to Afghanistan would create a State Department level mess. So, they kept him there, at Craig AFB, Selma, Alabama. He was still there when I graduated in October, 1963. His instructor let him solo once. It was such a disaster, he was “dual only” forever.
Flying is slightly more difficult that driving a Camel.

They didn’t show up on Monday so did they have the weekend off? If so, they’ve been missing since at least sometime Friday. Way to go, hussein, for keeping them contained. Once again, Trump was right.

We live near there. Not like next door, but in the vicinity. They fly over our house from time to time. I thought from the very first that this was a ploy by Obama to train these guys then they’d use our own weapons (planes) in an attack against us. I pray I am wrong.
Three Afghan military officers who failed to return to a U.S. training base in Cape Cod, Mass., were taken into custody Monday while trying to cross into Canada. Last week, two other Afghan officers were also caught near the border.
Apparently this is some sort of new protocol importation and redistribution of military personnel from Afghanistan. Nothing to see here.........
