It took Trump just about an hour to form the appropriate media response to being "snubbed" by Time editors for Person of the Year 2015 in favor of Angela Merkel (and also the leader of the Islamic State, al-Baghdadi). He framed it, as he usually does, in Twitter format:
I told you @TIME Magazine would never pick me as person of the year despite being the big favorite They picked person who is ruining Germany
And yes, it's easy to accuse Trump of being a sore loser (even though he continues to win: remember for the media mogul, it is all about media presence, and unwittingly Time contributed to his cause), but the reality as Reuters reports, is that once again, Trump may be - in his traditionally very politically incorrect and hyperbolic way - spot on.

Anyone who’s heard of the TIME’S Person of the Year award knows it isn’t necessarily complimentary.
Well at least it’ll give the sane Germans a good picture at which to throw darts.
With my distrust for all media now days, I would have to hear this out of the mouth of Trump before I believed it...
They said yesterday that Mr. Trump was going to Jordan, they lied on purpose, he is going to Israel to see BiBi....and they knew this...so did the rest of us that listen to Trump....
She has. Germany will certainly regret deeply the immigration decisions made by her in 2015. They will pay a very steep price indeed.
True, but if I had give my opinion, I’d bet that Time considers this one to be a compliment to Merkel.

I can’t believe that they’re having German schoolchildren “volunteer” to clean the nasty-azz toilets of the muzzie “refugee” camps, because the muzzies think they’re too good to clean their own sh*t. Already getting the little German schoolchildren indoctrinated to be dhimmis.
What I want to know is why Merkel is doing this (throwing Germany open}, what is the motive, the reason? Anyone know?
Merkel has killed the most Caucasians this year. It was never really a contest.

There is a very fine line between arrogance and full competence. I believe Trump recognizes on which side he falls.
It ain’t boasting if you can actually do it.
I Trump would do his homework on the history of Time’s Person of the Year, he might conclude that that designation isn’t exactly a badge of honor. It’s a mixed gallery with some pretty bad characters included.
That’s debatable. For now, Trump is only campaigning. He may turn the tide in America in the future. Merkel is killing her country and others right now. Ancient civilizations in Europe are under attack because of her actions. She deserves this label.

Next he will be banned in Germany.
Depends on where you are. If your in a small Bavarian village of 1,200 people and are told by Merkel that you now have to house 5,000 young unemployed muslim men in your town then it's all about Merkel to you at this point.
As a matter of policy, Time has never given MOTY to a candidate.
