I get the impression that in international relations, Putin and Trump would get along quite well. And I’m not sure what to make of that.

It’s true because after having a secular government Turkey had two radical Islamic winners for two administrations and the country is going nuts rom the head down,
I visited Turkey twice of cruises an many there asked us to pray for Turkey. They are going full Radical IMO.
Trump and Putin could work together and clean up a lot of the islamo trash that is polluting modern countries.

It simply means they are both men who love their country. In Trump’s case he want’s what is best for the American citizens.....in Putin’s case not so sure
If the civilized world is to survive, Islam must be understood for what it really is: It's not a religion, form of government, or anything recognizable to the civilized mind. Islam is a disease, an incurable disease of the mind that is highly contagious among the feeble minded and is now spreading among the world's feeble minded at an epidemic rate. As with any disease, one can't reason with this disease, negotiate with it, or treat in any manner other than how one would treat any other incurable disease.
As past efforts to contain this disease have failed, carriers of this Plague of Islam must be eradicated wherever they're found, for if they're not, this disease will eventually end not just Western Civilization, but it will undo over 5,000 years of human civilization.
I think they are both very clear-sighted and focused on what they want, and know how to pragmatically close a deal to get it.
Putin, in his way, is a business guy, like Trump. They have an understanding of where each other is coming from. My guess is that neither would make a deal that’s bad for their country, and they both know it. Sometimes those deals are the ones that work out quickly.
I think they live by same code. Here's the first thing that came to mind:

I believe that. I became friends with a Turkish man, he was the station manager for Turkish Airlines in Modadishu in 2012 (Oh we had fun getting that ball rolling!). One evening over drinks he was trying to understand how we could elect a black president and went on about how “America is a white country!” and with the current administration, his country was unable to rely on the US as it had in the past and, as he put it, “I’m afraid we will be drifting alliance to muslim countries now.” It really gave me insight as to how the US had been perceived by other countries, many if not most of whom really do place a lot of stock in ethnicity. Well, he said it and they’re doing it. A very interesting time.

Most of the world believe we elected a Muslim President.
He never was Baptized, so I don’t personally believe he has ever converted fully from Islam, which means to me we elected a lefty/Muslim as President and we are sinking for it and the world has done even worse.

Very interesting. And in regards to putting stock in ethnicity I do believe there might be hints in the good book that even God had certain thoughts about it. Er, not to say any one is better than another. But pertaining to how it relates to the proper and peaceful functioning of individual societies.
