How would you verify Muslims wouldn’t just lie (taqiyya) and say they were Christian? Seems Trump didn’t think it all the way through.
Personally, I support Cruz/Rand Pauls efforts and plans over Trumps, but I think we need a full on ban on all immigration for 10 years at the minimum just to get our house in order.

Cruz is on the wrong side of this issue.
During World War II, there was a complete ban on Japanese, German and Italian immigration into the United States because we were at WAR with those nations.
Muslims should be banned because their political ideology (masquerading as a religion) is incompatible with the Constitution of the United States, it calls for the overthrow of ALL non-Islamic governments, and considers all non-Muslims to be infidels who must either submit, convert or die.
It is impossible to discern which are the ‘good’ Muslims and which are the ‘bad’ Muslims because they are instructed in the Koran to LIE to the infidels in their quest for worldwide domination, and for that reason we need to bring all Muslim immigration to a screeching halt NOW.
Why do they want to come here in the first place? Plenty of Islamic countries, RICH countries to which they can immigrate, or if they prefer a non-Islamic country, let them go to Britain, since they appear to be happy to admit all the Muslims who show up at the gates.
As for OUR Nation?

I don’t see the need to move Islamic adherents into the United States.
The followers of Islam are hard-wired to wish to conquer Christians and their nations.
I cannot buy into the idea we’re being unfair to reject a group of people who will not respect our culture, but will instead seek to upend it and replace it with their own.
Sharia law is what they want instead of our laws. They ALL want that.
That is not compatible with them swearing an oath to this nation.

No I go further, I support an equal treatment of all immigrants since we cannot determine exactly who or where the threat is coming from...fake passports, fake names...etc
