The incident took place late Saturday night at the store in Stroudsburg, said Jeff Strunk, deputy director of the Monroe County 911 Center.
Sound like a guy may have picked the wrong day to give up being good.

Looks like it just happened and the local fuzz isn’t releasing any details.
Hopefully a concealed carry guy nailed him.

Authorities told us a man walked into the store with an assault style weapon and several handguns around 10:15 p.m.
The basterd was blocking the aisle with his cart I’ll betcha.
One comment at this site says it was reported that the guy was shot by a cop.
We’ll see. It’s early yet.

If a man was wearing a turban and entering Walmart heavily armed... given the opportunity my wife would likely do her duty with the piece concealed in her holster purse and then wander off during the confusion. Of course her dad was a combat veteran in WWII and Korea and a drill sergeant during Vietnam. He was the meanest SOB you could possibly imagine and taught her well.
Sounds like your wife is well worth having—and must be if you thought her worth the trouble of going through your father-in-law to get her.
If it truly was wielding; ("to hold a weapon or tool and look as if you are going to use it") as opposed to just carrying it, I guess there would be reason for concern.
Unless it was one of those anti-gunners that was told to call 911 anytime they saw anyone with a gun.

“Felz turned to look and saw a man with a black handgun in his left hand and a machete in his right walking down the last aisle.
“He was walking away from us down the aisle holding the gun to his head. He threw a backpack he was carrying to the side. Then he got to the end of the aisle, he turned right and pointed the gun, like around the corner. I heard a click, like a misfire or a BB gun go off,” Felz said.
Felz described the man as a white male in his early 20s, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, wearing a black baseball hat, a black bandanna over his face and a black shirt and jeans.”
After all of that and not even one person tried to take this guy down!
Thanks for the detailed info. So I guess my fears noted in post 17 that it was a lawful carry are erased. Sounds like a nut-job.
