It will eventually be phased out with the advancements in technology. In the meantime, it can stay.
Ah, it’s Wintertime.........the crazed, foaming at the mouth public school teacher hater. I am a special needs teacher of small kids in a self contained room. You lump the bad teachers in w/ the good. We all s*ck in your eyes. I imagine you being the overbearing & loud parent who finds trouble & controversy at every bend & the other parents shrinking away or running when you come shrieking w/ some petition. No way anyone carpools w/ you.
I have lots of issues w/ the public school system, but today I’m too tired. For what it’s worth I think the assignment is so hideously inappropriate & wrong. Yes heads should roll. But you don’t want to hear that from me, shreekers never do. I have been out late for several evenings shopping for Christmas gifts & food for our class party. Then I changed the pull up of the tiny kindergartner who can’t speak, but gets such a kick out of getting a clean pull up & a powdery tummy that she shrieks w/ laughter. We watched “A Miracle on 34th St.” & “A Charlie Brown Christmas” while snuggling w/ blankets on our mat. It was a little girl cozy pile up. And then we had our treats. Oh, & a local insurance agency adopted my class & brought over a giant stocking filled w/ toys & candy. We will draw picture thank you cards when we get back. Lots of hugs & saying, “I love you & Merry Christmas,” at the end of the day. It was a 60% day, but have no fear the teachers had to stay until regular dismissal.
Every institution has problems, deeply embedded ones & each profession has people who bring shame to said profession. But the majority care & try their best. I would like to believe that.
Maybe you could go & shreek in the woods about something. I’m sure some crows need frightened out of trees
I so hope not as I love to write letters. There is nothing more exciting than getting a package or a letter. How will we get those things if it shuts down?
Never argued with school officials. Never complained to a superintendent. Never signed a school petition or organized one. Never protested at school board meeting. I immediately saw that it was pointless because the only solution is to begin the process of privatizing all schooling in this nation.
So?.....Where are all the “good” teachers protesting this latest outrage?
The following is a **calm** analysis of why government schools are evil.
Fundamentally....The government indoctrination centers ( aka “schools”) feed the evil they do to our nation's children because millions of government school indoctrinators **willingly** choose to go to work every day and cooperate with evil. If they didn't cooperate the schools wouldn't be evil. They do it for money. No one is holding a gun to their heads. It is impossible to change the character of another person's heart but it is possible to begin to close down the institutions in which they practice their evil.
Fundamentally, government schooling is compulsory for all children whose parents can not ransom them by paying jizya in the form of private and homeschooling expenses. Government compulsion means the threat of police and court force. Children ( who have committed no crime), who are literally incarcerated in these government indoctrination centers, risk learning to be comfortable with government compulsion. This can not be reformed. Foaming at the mouth at school board meetings won't fix this. Neither will petitions because it is fundamental to the very structure of the institution.
Fundamentally, it is impossible for any school to be religiously, politically, or culturally neutral. Such a philosophic state of neutrality can not exist in the mind of any sentient human. Government schools are not now and never have been neutral. They are, and always have, taught the worldview of the most politically powerful. Today, that worldview is godless socialism/communism. This can not be fixed. It is no more ethical or moral for a conservative to promote their worldview than it is for the godless Marxist
to promote their religious, political, or cultural worldview. This can not be fixed. The only solution is to begin the privatization of all schooling.
Fundamentally, when children are forced by the government into godless classrooms they **will** learn to think and reason godlessly. They must just to cooperate within the godless classroom, do the godless homework, and read the godless textbooks. The content within this godless classroom is not religiously neutral, nor are the consequences. This can not be fixed because a God-centered worldview is not religiously, culturally, or politically neutral in content or consequences, either!
Fundamentally all government K-12 schooling is a government owned and run, socialist-entitlement, and price-fixed monopoly cartel! The children risk learning that any government powerful enough to give a child tuition-free schooling is also powerful enough to give them **lots** of “free” stuff. It only took one to three generations of state compelled government schooling to give the nation Woodrow Wilson, Franklin D. Roosevelt, and the other Marxocrat presidents of the 20th and 21st century.
In may ways, institutional schooling ( private and government) must treat their students like prisoners. They must just to maintain safety and order. HOWEVER....When **government** functionaries ( aka “teachers”) do this, the child risks learning to be comfortable with government compulsion. Please think about the many ways government schools resemble prisons. If you find this difficult I can outline them for you in another post.
There is nothing radical about the above. All of it is a simple and plain statement of truth...and...these are only **some** of the ways in which government indoctrination centers ( aka “schools”) are evil. There are others. Teachers willingly seek work in these evil institutions. No one holds a gun to their heads. If they didn't cooperate with the evil, the schools wouldn't exist. They do it for money.
Having them is also NOT politically, culturally, or religiously neutral. The content of classroom is NOT neutral in content or consequences for the children or for the community or nation or in the voting booth.
**All** government schools must make a binary decision. The government indoctrination center ( aka “schools”) has them or it doesn't. There is no other option.
