Holman Jenkins at the Wall Street Journal took a look at Donald Trumpâs finances over the weekend, and suggested the outspoken billionaire might not be able to afford to keep a serious national campaign going past the first few states:
None of his offenses against propriety seem to have dinged the support that, in a crowded race, keeps Donald Trump atop the GOP primary polls.
Republicans are now talking about a brokered convention, which could be a disaster for the country, and for the GOP, and quite possibly hand the election to Hillary Clinton without a real contest or even critique of her agenda.
So goes the fear. But unless we miss our guess, our long national nightmare-cum-sketch comedy show actually has a termination date. It will end the moment campaigning begins to threaten Mr. Trumpâs finances and business interests.
Actually, as Jenkins notes further in his piece, Trumpâs campaign already has already damaged his business interests:

I’m not misinformed. That is a direct quote from Trump on Larry King Live.
Trump has only changed his positions to dupe the gullible.
KOOL-AID" ?
No...............reality !
It is posters such as yourself who refuse to see reality and are blinkered and benighted by your own biases.
I am supporting Trump by buying his books in stores
and his MAKE AMERICA GREAT merchandise at

“So far he’s spent pocket change and he’s already living in their collective head rent-free.”
You got that right.
A far as I can see, he isn’t following the conventional model. Most campaigns need to rent a jet. He climbs on his Boeing.
Most campaigns need rental cars and staff. That’s petty cash to him and as for staff he attracts the best already.
Most campaigns need all kinds of stuff for the people. His sells a ball cap. Most campaigns need a lot of TV ads. Instead every outlet is forced to cover what he says and to beg him onto their show.
Most campaigns need to rent headquarters space. He has a tower in Manhattan.
He has turned campaigning on it’s head. Richest guy in the campaign, takes the lead, and spends almost nothing in the process.
Unlike some other candidates, he does not announce his website at every opportunity
LOL, true. It does come across very ShamWowish :)
B-b-b-but I thought trump was the CLEAN candidate. He was going to be the one who would clean up Washington! Who wasn’t going to sell out!
Care to elaborate. I provided you with a link to Trumps position on Healthcare, and you post cryptic crap. Not a good way to start off a conversion in my book.
Why didn't you say THE BANK OF ENGLAND ? That's as silly as what you posted. LOL
Those successes must be very lucrative considering Trump is worth $10,000,000,000.00 at present and growing by $250,000,000 each year.
To get a better idea how much $10 Billion assets is,
next 100 generations of Trumps will each inherit $100 million, even assuming the Trump assets did not grow at all. In reality the Trump business model is very successful and will grow YUGE in future.
Can’t even buy an argument? So sad. Maybe they’ll rent you one at Avis.
Trump is the ONLY candidate NOT owned by amnesty/CheapLaborExpress donors.
That makes Trump the ONLY candidate who’s NOT a “sell-out”.
The establishment is saying, and praying, that their amnesty/lobbyist/Special Interest groups will be able to outspend Trump.
I see whose side you’re on.
Worse than THAT; actually.
Yes. Hopefully he will be I was just pointing out how starving poverty cases like Hillary can afford to run for office.
He hasn’t.....unlike everyone else.
They are for sale, every day, on the stock market. trump could barely afford a 1% position in either company.
Whether he WANTS to buy either of these things wasn’t in the original statement.
If you act now, my generous donor will DOUBLE your donation! But hurry....this offer won’t last long.
Obviously, you don't have the education, nor common sense to be able to comprehend cogent simple English.
But wait.....if you donate now, you can have twice the KOOL-AID rations, for free,
