A recent story from The Houston Chronicle goes into great detail about how Muslims in that Texas city are âon edgeâ after bloody, high-profile terrorist attacks in Paris and San Bernardino, Calif.
Theyâre afraid someone might attack or hurt them, for crimes they didnât commit. They worry that angry people will target them for things they didnât do.
My initial reaction? WELCOME TO THE CLUB. Excuse the caps, but it needs to be said loudly.
Welcome to the legions of peaceful people in the world who are feeling exactly the same way you do, today, at the start of 2016.
You cannot sit in a movie theater, in church or at a sporting event without envisioning at least once where youâll flee if someone starts shooting. You canât take a domestic flight without being eyed, probed, felt up, treated like a criminal. You imagine what could happen at your childrenâs school, on a cruise, at the store, at a party, at work. Ghastly atrocities committed on the other side of the world are producing bloody echoes in Europe, and in even closer places like Manhattan, Boston, Texas, Chattanooga ⦠San Bernardino.
Last weekend, when I had the privilege of visiting St. Patrickâs Cathedral in New York City, a heavily armed SWAT team was lounging around their van out front. You never used to see those guys unless something big was already in progress.
If you see a man or woman in Islamic dress about to board the plane or bus or train with you, suspicion just wells up automatically. Itâs just the way our brains work.

But, but...the backlash! There’s a backlash!
*Clap*
“That’s not WHO WE are” don’t push it though
Well, being a Kaffir IS a crime.
This can’t be incorporated in the FR software?
See something, say something.
Above my pay grade...
My tagline.
They haven’t even begun to see the “backlash”.
Think CRUSADE
Islam is at war with us.
Islam has been at war with everyone else since 622 A.D.
We refuse to accept and acknowledge that.
Their book tells them to use lying and deception to gain the upper hand.
Then convert or kill the unbelievers.
Islam is not like any other religion.
An extremist muslim is like Abu Bakr Al Bagdadhi
An extremist Christian is like Mother Theresa
The naive Infidel can't help himself from seeking an easy solution to the problem of Islam.
Does anyone who understands Islam expect Muslims who are following the religion as given by Allah in the Koran and the examples set by Muhammed in the Hadiths to be criticized by other Muslims to the advantage of us Kafirs.
To be sure there are Muslim heretics and Infidel collaborators who might help us but they are a definite minority. -Tom
It isn’t a religion, it’s a political creed IMHO. It deserves none of the protections of a religion.
Isn’t interesting that when non muslims legitimately fear muslims they’re labeled neurotics (islamophobic), but when muslims invent fear of attacks are exalted into victims.
Afraid isnt enough. I want them all crap-your-pants terror stricken. When you INFEST a society with 5th century thinking that overtly threatens it you cant expect love! Islam is like cancer. You cant love it into something good. You can’t live with it. It has to be utterly wiped out or it kills. So BE sick with fear.Muslims. Love your life more than your barbaric “religion” or be eradicated with it.
Good. Now get the hell out.
“Sara Sheikh was getting pizza with her family in Katy when a man approached her 7-year-old son and started asking him how he felt about ISRAEL AND THE JEWS.”
There, fixed it.
FWIW, if I were to see one of those sidewalk Muslimahs with an “Ask a Muslim” sign & `free literature’, that’s what I would ask her: “How do you feel about Israel and the Jews?”
(She’d probably scream “Allahu Akbar!!!” & then her `brethren’ would come at me with knives.)
