“White people, come get your boy.â€
Depending on how you read that line from comedian W. Kamau Bell about Donald Trump, you might take it as a joke. Or you might take offense.
But Bell meant it as a call to action – because Trump is not a Republican problem. He’s a white-people problem.
For the uninitiated, here’s a primer on “getting your boy.†First, you need to tell said “boy†that he is making you look bad in front of polite company. This is a familiar practice to people of color: Whenever a black or brown person does something unsavory in public, members of their community know that it will – fairly or not – reflect on them.

I am totally indifferent to Obama’s skin color. I despise him because he’s a communist thug with no respect for freedom or for the law. I would happily take Herman Cain, Ben Carson, Thomas Sowell, or Walter Williams over Obama, not because they are black but because they are good people who support freedom.
I am totally indifferent to Cruz’s ancestry. I respect him because he is a pro-freedom American who supports the Constitution. I don’t care that he is Hispanic, just that he is a true American. Marco “Gang of Eight” Rubio has similar ancestry, as does Che Guevara, but their views fall far short. I am an American, not a racist, and I don’t judge people by group identity - that’s a failing of liberal racists.
As for Trump being white, that’s yet another irrelevant detail. He thinks immigrants should follow the law, and there is nothing racist in that idea. I don’t want illegal Hispanics, illegal Arabs, or illegal Irishmen coming across our border or overstaying in our country. Only a liberal could pretend to see support for the rule of law as racist.
I am inclined to do so, too. Every article like this increases my desire to vote for Trump.
And I am tired of reading blatantly racist pieces by people who purport to oppose racism.
