Is it some radical notion that conservatives support conservatives?
It IS when you think you can guilt and shame people who legitimate support Trump outside of the retarded belittling reasons Cruz people produce.
Like I said. You guys are playing with fire if you think you can hold our conservatism over our heads and think you can force votes for Cruz that way.
I went with Trump because I think Cruz played it too safe, and I see that Trump can create the necessary coalition of people needed to turn a lot of states. Sorry if I’m not staying “true to the faith”, but Trump is address many issues I support and not backing down after relentless leftist attacks.
That’s a compelling general election candidate. Christian credentials are of no relevance to me. I couldn’t care less how many times Trump went to church this year. As long as he does no harm to those that do and pushes back those that are, then I’m good in that department.
Great example of how many great things were written under pseudonyms. Free Republic is based on that ability. I think it is perfectly reasonable to question or contest a poster’s comments but it seems hypocritical to question the name another posts under.
If I were you, I’d be more worried by the proclamations of being an Evangelical Christian by a man (Trump) who says he has never asked God to forgive him.
The lack of wisdom, at best, or down-right lying by Trump about being a Christian should give every serious voter pause.
Thank you so much. Just read all your posts, impressive indeed.
It must have been progressive koolaid. At least I don’t remember a total fake, progressive professional liar, who acts like a spoiled brat, all proof is denied or excused, they believe his promises and supported by so many who say they are conservative.
No guilt involved. You support something or you support something else. If you have guilt about that, you made the wrong choice. Simple math.
Its not, its relevant to who wins in Iowa.
Interesting connections here. Glenn Beck has been off the rails for some time. He hurt the TeaParty movement with his 9/12 rally. If he hadn't scheduled his 9/12 rally around the same time as the second TeaParty rally, the TeaParty rally would have been much bigger that year. Most people couldn't take off for both rallies. So they had to pick which to attend. Because Beck's was considered a religious renewal, a lot of Christians went to it instead.
I liked Beck when he was on FoxNews. Now he is a joke. Seems to think he is a prophet. Hadn't heard about the Dominionist movement before, but it makes sense with the messages Beck is sending to his listeners. I need to do more research on the movement.
Truth upsets a lot of people I guess. But it’s still the truth.
Over the last few months I have received many fundraising letters in the mail from Ted Cruz. Only the first one was unabashedly Christian Nationalist, mentioning no other topics; and its begging tone was as bad as that in the video. Since then, he does seem to have toned them down. The more recent letters have mentioned other topics relevant to the presidency and not just Christian Nationalism and hyping his "Christ-like" nature.
Wait a minute, you are always on Cruz threads. Most of the arguments I have had with are on Cruz threads where you have been busy trolling.
“No guilt involved.”
“If you dont support Cruz, then you aren’t a real conservative and dont support the constitution”
Nah. No guilt at all. /s
I didn’t switch from Cruz to Trump last October because I HATED him or hate conservatism or hate Christianity. So some of you guys need to think about that he next time you go off on Trump supporters for having the nerve to support him and be on FR, because it’s quickly moving my needle to a place where I’m wont even show up in November if he is.
I keep trying to remind myself that it’s NOT Cruz, but his support base. But that will only last for so long.
“A conservative will support a conservative. A moderate will not when there is a moderate/liberal available. Conservatism is well defined.”
Would you please post the definition of a Conservative then? And while you’re about it; how about the definition of a Christian. I’m not being sarcastic really; I just don’t think I’ve ever seen either laid out in specific fashion.
But insulting Cruz supporters 24/7 by Trumpbots is going to do Trump favors?
“Trump Fan-Boys, Projection is thy name! “
Oh??? Am I demanding that you vote for Trump in order to “prove” yourself?
No? Not a bit? A Little? a Micro-fraction???
Well then, thanks for trying.
Then what? Do tell.
