Oh??? Am I demanding that you vote for Trump in order to “prove” yourself?

You need to step back and take a look at all of the Cruz threads and the posts by the Trump Fan-Boys. You have tunnel vision and are simply, objectively missing the big picture here.

If he, and not some Super PAC or fraud fundraising group is doing this, then the leftist media will wedge this deep in a general election.

Because if you got those emails, then it is a certainly that they do.

I don’t believe I have ever argued the “sorry conservatives” comment, since I was watching that rally and heard it in context. You all are real good at searching though so feel free to check.

Over the last few months I have received many fundraising letters in the mail from Ted Cruz. Only the first one was unabashedly Christian Nationalist, mentioning no other topics;

Please provide proof, otherwise, this is just another slimy accusation from a Trump fan-boy.

I didn’t say that did I. Nope. So why did you post that I did?

True or false: A conservative supports conservatives.

We’ll go from there.

“If you are feeling guilt after a poster posts the truth”

I’m not. But I debate leftists that do all of the same tricks I see here, so I know when people engage in goofy “appeals to sophistication” and conformity or resort to “virtue signaling”.

Feeling guilt is the last thing I do when I see people here do a plastic version of the same stuff.

Oh I see it all over. Most of it started in the past two months when some Cruz people decided to go to war with the Trump supporters.

Now again, where have (((I))) done that, as my original statement said.

There is no stretch or any out of context. I have a personal stake in that particular comment because Obamacare/socialized medicine nearly killed me 10 months ago. So when a ‘conservative’ candidate starts pushing a modified Obamacare, I play close attention to context. “Sorry Conservatives implies 2 things.

1: The speaker is
speaking to someone of a differing belief group.
2: He intends to go against their wishes.

How interesting!(sarc) A viciously vacuous, intellectually razor edged narcissist who believes in the saving power of mockery over those of disparate beliefs. Ask yourself, brother in Christ, who WWJM? (who would Jesus mock?)

You asked, "Why do you put Joel Osteen into that group?"

Because Osteen preaches the heretical "prosperity Gospel". He preaches that YOU are the focus and God is nothing more than an errand boy who is expected to provide “stuff” on demand.

Because I have limited time right now to answer fully, I will point you to a good answer to your question: http://www.nowtheendbegins.com/the-heretical-blasphemy-of-joel-osteen-the-power-of-i-am-video. And I will be happy to discuss it further with you later either in private message or on a thread with Osteen as topic, so that we do not push this current thread off topic.

Like I said, you have tunnel vision.

You support someone(Trump), therefore everything looks like an attack at him while ignoring all the attacks on other candidates, primarily Cruz in this instance.

Then apply that to all the “Only trump can win” posters in your ranks and get back to me.

If someone posted that Hillary is a true Conservative would you expect anyone to object? Just because some politician claims to be of a certain philosophical persuasion doesn’t mean they are. Jesus said you should judge them by their fruits. Trump’s fruits are a mixed bag at best.

This is a Conservative forum. It’s purpose is to promote Conservative values and government. One of it’s most important functions is educating other Conservatives about the candidates true beliefs and positions. If a candidate can’t withstand the scrutiny he shouldn’t be running.

Dude, read. I said nothing, zip zero nada.....NOTHING....about government forcing anyone to do anything. How can you go there? You are fantasizing again.

I also wasn’t talking about just commenters...I was mainly referring to WEBSITE COLUMNISTS who produce work under a non name.

Government shouldn’t force any of it - but I have the right to call it gutless, which I do. Not all comments, but all columnists and the asshole posters. If you’re gonna publish or come with a strong take, be man enough to own it. If not, you have no respect.

You are just off your meds.

Thank you for your post (#229). I appreciate your insightful analysis of the self-written article posted by GPH.

I have seen the Southern Baptist Convention inundated by the “hearing Jesus’s voice” and “contemplative prayer” movement, which troubles me greatly. The Blackaby family, Phyllis Shirer, Beth Moore, etc. have moved many in our denomination into this non-Biblical view of discipleship and prayer, and it is very troubling to me. I usually get “deer in the headlight” looks from some of my fellow Southern Baptists when I attempt to point out the problem with such views.

Getting back to your post - as I said, I appreciate you pointing out the guilt by association toward Ted Cruz. I really have like his focus on following the Constitution and that he can present conservatism clearly, even while “under the gun” of the media. I have been seriously considering him as the one I want to support for president.

I had heard of the dominion movement, but really didn’t know much about it. I agree with you that most Southern Baptists would vehemently disagree with the establishment of a literal kingdom on earth idea. It does seem that Rafael Cruz has some ties to all of that, and I fear he could be a liability for Ted later on.

Anyway, thank you for your sane reply as opposed to the virulent attacks thrown back and forth by some freepers.

Ted Cruz in your head , huh? Ted Cruz, his father aren’t cultists. This isn’t going to work in switching people away from Cruz (and towardmyournpreferred in Trump)- who may not even be a Biblical Christian at all (who knows..?). Trump won’t even talk about it except vague statements I his Christian faith

“True or false: A conservative supports conservatives.”

FALSE: A conservative does not do identity politics.

I vote for whomever puts forth a platform that I can get behind, demonstrates the ability to push those positions while bringing the media to heel when they go on the attack, and stays on offense. Also a candidate that I see can put forth a strong coalition of like-minded people.

If I just went with you T&F, then we all would be backing Scott Walker because that was the same stuff I was told when they demanded that everyone back him because he was the one true “real conservative”, even though he was as boring as Velcro.
