I’m kinda surprised that Jake Tapper pursued this line of questioning against Ted Cruz, but he hit it out of the park.

Prove that his father was a US citizen at the time of his birth.
It is well known that his father was not a US citizen at the time. And it is also equally well known that the fact that his father was not a citizen has no impact on Ted’s status. Ted is a US citizen at birth through his mother - that is all that is required.

I asked where it was defined in the Constitution. There are obviously many different documents that have different interpretations of the terms. You are asking me to accept your source as definitive, and it obviously is not - otherwise, you would not have so many legal and Constitutional experts that disagree with your definition. The point is that there is nothing in the Constitution that specifies that NBC requires two citizen parents.

I’m not asking you to accept my “source as definitive”. You can believe what you want.
I do believe however, that we are having this dialogue because there is an issue with Cruz’s pedigree. Cruz needs to show some leadership and either step up and demand the courts provide a resolution ASAP, or stand aside.
Jughead made us look like fools over this same issue..I would hope Cruz is cut from a finer cloth,..maybe not. If he does not show some maturity and resolve this, the dems will, once again to our detriment.

Oh, for heaven’s sake. Nobody is disputing whether or not Cruz is a CITIZEN..he is, and always has been. The only issue is whether or not he meets the NATURAL BORN CITIZEN threshold to qualify for President or Vice President.
He needs to step up and end this. If he doesn’t, the dems will raise the issue at the last moment and the great unwashed will be swayed to vote for their candidate, so we can at least have an election. We will once again be duped. If Cruz let’s this drag on, he is only adding to the doubt.
