DONALD TRUMP: Here's how I'd handle that 'madman' in North Korea

Colin Campbell

Jan. 6, 2016

Real-estate tycoon Donald Trump said Wednesday that the US should pressure China into getting North Korea under control.

"It's something I've been talking about for a long time. You have this madman over there who probably would use it," Trump said during an interview on "Fox & Friends."

"And nobody talks to him, other than of course Dennis Rodman," he said. "That's about it."

Trump was referring to North Korea's supreme leader, Kim Jong Un, while addressing North Korea's announcement Tuesday night that it had successfully conducted a hydrogen-bomb test.

Many experts are skeptical that North Korea actually detonated a hydrogen bomb, citing the country's long history of misleading and false claims. But if it did, the incident would represent a significant escalation of the volatile country's nuclear arsenal.

Trump, the Republican presidential front-runner, argued on Fox News that China had the unique ability to curb North Korea's nuclear ambitions. China has long been a benefactor to North Korea and is its primary foreign ally, though the two countries have diverged over Pyongyang's development of nuclear weapons and disruptive regional policies.

"China has … total control over North Korea," Trump said. "And China should solve that problem. And if they don't solve the problem, we should make trade very difficult for China.

"We are holding China up," he added. "They're taking so much money. They're draining our country, and they're toying with us with North Korea. China should do it. They say they can't, they 'don't have that power.' They're toying with our politicians, who don't know what they're doing."

Well, that clears up the smear reports that Trump was drooling over the little madman.

Do you think Rodman and Trump would go talk to Rodman’s buddy? Trump was buttering Kim up with his flattering remarks about how he consolidated his power.

Would be the first time Trump visited and stayed over night, I’m sure.

If one doesn’t understand the strengths of one’s enemy, it becomes more difficult to exploit their weaknesses.

Which strengths do you mean to identify, the strength of mass murder?

Gosh, I don't know. That's why they need to be identified.

Everybody has strengths and weaknesses. Why would you prefer that they not be objectively considered?

Look at the date on the story and it was released a few days before Trump started talking up the little madman.

Actually the absence of any limits to his authority, moral or legal, IS a strength.

Trump would pull the most unpredictable of strategies, not stupid strategy, intelligent to win course of actions, not some drama queens wet dream into reality tv show.

When Trump takes over gone will be the politicising of intent, just get er done.

The Chinese have been repeatedly humiliated by Pop'n'Fresh, who runs the illegal Pyongyang regime. He gets away with it. And WHY do you suppose he wanted the Bomb in the first place? :')

Get what done? With the 535 do nothings in place?

How’s that going to work?

With EOs. That’s how. He’s not the kind to sit back and watch others debate how or if to implement his ideas.

Nearly every product you pick up says made in China, Trump is going to make trading with them ‘difficult’. We no longer manufacture the products we now have to import and that includes generic medicines and some name brand ones.

Do we still produce shoes in the USA besides Red Wing work shoes/boots? Nearly every thing from Wal-Mart is made in a foreign country, usually China. Very poor quality crap. Even that expensive bra I just bought from J C Penny’s is made in a FOREIGN COUNTRY. Macy’s is closing stores. Look for Dillard’s to follow. Penny downsized the number of stores. And since I have to travel 90 mins round trip to go to the mall, it is seldom done. I can order off Amazon a lot easier and use Prime with no shipping fees as step daughter put us on her account. Gave Amazon gift cards to the 6 of the 7 grands, 1 Game Stop and 5 great grands. And got hubby’s there too. Bosse mini speakers for the bedroom.

And since they carry little other than food I’d buy I don’t go there often. In fact I don’t even do that. Prices to high. I can buy it cheaper at Kroger’s and get gas points to boot. Or I can go to the Navy Commissary, I’d not save much as their prices are equal to Kroger’s with no gas points. And the 5% Restock fee, can’t offset getting a $1 off up to 35 gallons of gas a month, usually have pts I can give to one of the grown kids. If I want ammo I go to the local Gun store.

Americans like China made stuff because it is in expensive. Trump may adjust the situation but can not make major change

Shoes made in Massachusetts are just too expensive. The economy will force people to go shoeless because the fact. The irreversible fact, is that American business can not compete in the manufacturing of many things.

Then there is the rest of Asia.....

Trump is the only one talking about the FOOD that grows the problem, MONEY. He knows money, knows how to negotiate using it. A community organizer hasn't got a clue, Obama couldn't run a MacDonald's! Obama would count the increase in people coming to his store as "proving" his success when he GAVE AWAY hamburgers instead of selling them. He would then give a speech at the local Chamber of Commerce explaining the increased numbers of "customers" was undeniable proof his system works.

We need someone who understands money and how to use it. I keep hearing Trump is weak on foreign policy. Foreign policy isn't about ideology...it's about MONEY. He is the strongest candidate in decades to have this edge. Remember, Reagon won the Cold War by bankrupting the Soviet Union. It was about MONEY!

Trump is choosing the wrong pressure point on China.

Want NK to get rid of its nukes? Easy, get together with South Korea and Japan, make an announcement that both will be deploying their own nuclear weapons capability in 24 months to counter NK nukes. State that the U.S. will provide MRBM and air-launched cruise missile technology to both countries to provide a medium range nuclear capability (which happens to stretch over the more populated areas of China).

After a couple of months, let China know that all parties are open to turning off the programs IF the NorK nukes go away AND the NorK midget tyrant is replaced with a Chinese style fascist government.

Chinese troops would probably be in Pyongyang within 6-months to “restore the revolution”.
