That was not exactly how TRUMP answered the question. TRUMP answered the question, if you bothered to watch the video, that reminds the world what New York values looked like, on 911.
He just buried Ted Cruz, and as Joe Scarborough said, TRUMP has 17 million New Yorkers cheering his answer! Wow. Great job, Cruz. Those New Yorkers were mostly Hillary voters, but with Trump’s unifying answer, heck, he may win NEW YORK now.

The whole world respects TRUMP for what he said today. And Morning Joe supports him all the way.
Any voter who stays mad over a comment like this for nine months is going to get mad about something between now and November, so Cruz might as well forget about that voter.
Further, there are people in New York who have a sense of humor. They'll laugh about it and probably understand what Cruz meant and agree with it. They also laughed at this video rather than getting their panties in a knot:
Yes, the comment was a mistake, but it's one he can and should learn from, not the end of his campaign. We need to eliminate candidates who oppose the Second Amendment, those who support Amnesty, and those who support Obamacare, not those who hurt someone's feelings over a comment that is not central to the job of the president - which could describe both Cruz and Trump for a lot of people. It's not like he called illegal immigration "An act of love" and meant it!

I grew up in New York. It is a place that trashes conservative values at every turn. If anyone thinks not being for New York values will hurt Cruz, they are delusional. This is the place I can be fined $250,000 for not using the right gender pronoun. Did anyone really think that Cruz was going to take NY? And I was raised in Queens and born the same year as Donald Trump. Trump has first, last, and always been about Donald Trump. If you want another eight years of that stuff, vote Trump. I deserve better!

Face facts. TRUMP just blew Cruz up. TRUMP took opportunity and gave it back to Ted in spades. He gave opportunity to TRUMP, and now the Don has seventeen million New Yorkers cheering his answer back to Cruz.
