I think Trump will be the same way. He will deal with the opposition and make deals with them but it will be on his terms.
Trump: “It was a brave stand.” “He (Cruz)shouldnât be controversial because what heâs doing is right.” “He really is a special guy. He went to Harvard. Great student. ⦠He went out and became a great lawyer. I wish I knew him then.”
“Cruz says heâs like Reagan but Reagan brought the opposition along, didnât shut them out.”
Sort of like how Obama got everything he wanted though Republicans hated him. So he worked together witth his opponents and brought them together.
Oh wait, no he didn’t, he did just the opposite.
There's no equivalency at all.
To the GOPE/RINO leadership, "reaching across the aisle" means agreeing with the positions of the Socialist Democrats to "get along" and to "get things done" ... there's no "dealing" involved.
To a successful businessman, "making deals" means getting something out of negotiating with the other side ... even if it's not quite everything -- but certainly most -- of what you want. That is, it's not a complete capitualtion that we see from the duplicitous and, frankly, lazy GOPE/RINO leaders we have today. This is a profound difference between the terms.
But Trump loves the Clintons:
“Trump: “I’ve known her and her husband and I really like them both a lot, and I think she really works hard... I think she does a good job... The record of Hillary Clinton and how did she do as Secretary of State probably above and beyond everybody else.”
Ted ain’t perfect like the detestable Donald Trump. The guy just doesn’t know when to shut up..
Ain’t that the same as brown nosing?
Obstructionism when serving to stop bad legislation is a good thing.
Compromise when serving to advance bad legislation is a bad thing.
expect Trump to continue to move more to the left and talk about reaching across the aisle as he gets the nomination.
Some people don’t seem to understand deal making at all. If you call the person you have to work with a liar it’s not very conducive to progress on anything.
I thought it was great that Ted called McConnell a liar - but I don’t think for a second it helped Ted develop a working relationship with him or anyone else. If there is no working relationship there will be nothing accomplished.
ONE man in Congress can’t get anything done by himself, but Cruz certainly made a statement regarding the Liar McConnell........and Cruz absolutely began the era of BOLDNESS to speak out, that has been adopted by others.... did anyone see Trump in the gallery?
Trump has CDS.
Cruz was referring to similar conservatism as Reagan.
Come November, no matter who are the nominees, the dems will be wiped out by 8 years of US history’s worst Constitutional and citizen abuse by nobama peeing in America’s well for the sake of allah and soros.
Problem is, so is Ted. LOL
That's kind of his thing, and people seem to love it.
Clyde Barnum Trump voted for nobama in 2008. How conservative that was! Just making deals!
I agree with you.
Anyone who calls out McConnell for being a liar gets my vote
Because most sheeple are buffoons. Why shouldn’t they latch on to the highest profile Pied Piper buffoon as they gleefully drag us over the cliff with them?
so, you follow drunken liar Bick, do ya?
I really thought the Dems would Palinize Ted before Trump did.
