He knows that this business of Cruz running around and using the phrase "New York values" was not an insult to anybody about 9/11. Trump knows it.

Which is why his use of 9/11 to respond to Cruz is offensive.

Rabid. The word is “rabid” Trump supporters. They are not seeing how much he is like Obama.

Sean tries to stay neutral, but he’s for Trump. They are both NY boys, Trump, Queens and Hannity, Long Island. Same difference geographically. Sean has been friends with Trump for years and he name drops a bit about stopping by Trump Tower and visiting with Trump, Ivanka, Don Jr. and Eric. He’s a lot less obvious than Levin and Rush who are in the tank for Cruz.

“but he started the show being wowed over it, and ended his show with the same amazement over Cruz’s cunning.”

That’s pretty typical.

Puff up ineffectiveness, and then act stunned when reality catches up.

It’s like back in 1996 when Rush would puff up the pathetic responses of Bob Dole to Clinton’s relentless hits, and made it seem like Dole was kicking butt.

Cruz is the “smartest” person to ever run, just dont ask for details as to how that is.

Trump is free to criticize Cruz all he wants as far as I'm concerned, but going after him as a "nasty" guy and on this birther business, he's gotta worry that it's gonna create more negatives within his own support base rather than turn people off to Cruz.

Exactly. Middle America agrees with Ted more than Donald on this.

He sucked at the debate. Trump trounced him by reminding him of true New York values.

Everybody in America knows New York City Values. Just because a few thousand New Yorkers did the right thing doesn't change a thing. Men and women across this country have the same values it took to run into those buildings. We just lost a number ourselves. But don't assign those values to all New Yorkers. It doesn't add up.

Don’t worry, there is virtually no chance I’ll vote for Trump unless I die and one of his democrat friends does it for me.

“He needs talk radio and conservative blogs to YET AGAIN pitch a fit and circle the wagons every time he gets in touchy situations.”

I listened to almost all of Rush’s show today and his main theme was “Cruz and Trump were going to go after each other at some point, it was inevitable” and “Cruz is doing just fine dealing with Trump, he doesn’t need me or anyone else to tell you how to think.”

He did comment on Trump’s strategy and mentioned that he doesn’t think it’s the right strategy against Cruz, and naturally, since Rush didn’t bow at the alter of their cult hero, the ultra-sensitive Trumpbots largely interpreted what he said on his show today as “bashing” Trump.

BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone outside of NYC knew what Cruz was saying and why. Only the folks in NYC - people who crap on fly over country every day of their lives - got their panties in a wad.

New York Values: Gun Control. Sugar Control. Soda Control. Rent Control. High taxes. High regulation. Cigarette Control. Apart from abortion, is there ANYTHING New Yorkers do NOT want controlled?

NYC voted roughly 75% for a communist mayor. That is all one needs to know about “New York Values”!

he took more than $250,000 in campaign funds from out-of-state investment bankers who supported legalizing gay marriage.

Any evidence there was a quid-pro-quo?

What's the f*cking point of the innuendo here?

I'll vote for either Trump or Cruz as the GOP nominee but some of the Trumpbot posts on FR are ridiculous.

I repeat: he sucked. Take a look at the sad, defeated hand clap. He also seemed to lose a foot in height.

I believe that when a candidate starts getting personal, begins insulting, they will find their supporters will begin drifting away. People as a whole don’t like it.

Rush and Levin go out of their way to be "fair and balanced". Their analyses of the candidates are quite thoughtful from a conservative perspective, but they really upset those who will not tolerate any criticism of their favorite candidate, constructive or otherwise.

People who are traditionally not thought of in the Republican coalition.

And therefore likely can't help him in the Republican primaries.

It's also going to end up sinking him. Trump, like Obama, is not of a mold used to being told, "No" and handling it graciously. Look how he doubled down against the boos.

What did you expect him to do? Interrupt and start shouting “You idiot”? He had already made his point, and he knew what no one in NYC seems to know: outside of NYC, folks agree with Cruz. New York values are control, regulate, tax, and suck up to every perverted sexual expression anyone can imagine.

There is a reason why every upstate New Yorker I’ve ever met despises NYC. There is a reason a friend of mine from the Bronx is FROM the Bronx - and never going back!

New York City is a cesspool of self-obsessed liberals. Your commie mayor is proof, as is the 80% vote for Obama in 2012.

Mitch McConnell hates the guy, Harry Reid hates the guy. They all hate the guy.

So we should not vote for Cruz because the Washington cartel hates him? Because the Establishment hats him? Really, Donald?

Do you understand that that's why people like him, just as it's why people like you? Because you're perceived as having the right enemies.

To go after Cruz for being disliked by the Establishment will hurt The Donald more than it will hurt Ted.
