Levin: “I’m Sick and Tired of Stupid Talk!”
Conservative Review ^ | January 19th, 2016 | Phil Shiver

Posted on 01/18/2016 6:23:12 PM PST by Isara

Four days since the debate and everyone is still talking about non-issues like Ted Cruz’s citizenship, his loan filing error, and “New York values.”

Editor-in-Chief Mark Levin advises conservatives not to get dragged into the media’s games or campaign squabbles, because he knows “if we do not nominate a solid conservative, we’re going to lose our country.”

He reminds the American people that this election is about them—not about Donald Trump, or Marco Rubio, or Ted Cruz, and goes on to ask—especially those furthering the “stupid talk”—a very serious and humbling question:

“Do we want to save the country or not?"

Listen to the full segment here:

Levin: "I'm Sick and Tired of Stupid Talk!" (Audio)

Levin reminded listener to not forget who the real enemy is: The Democratic Party represented by Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. Sen. Ted Cruz was once unanimously considered a hero of conservatism, a fighter against the Establishment, only now to have his words twisted and to be cast as a foe.

Levin believes the  American people don’t have to be dragged into such stupidity.

Mark is going to have a sharp drop in his ratings, due to his rantings.

He sure is.

When he first started up his anti-birther rants about Cruz, the first thought that hit me was: "Is Mark so angry that he's lost sight of the fact that he's insulting half of his listening audience?"

Sure, the man's allowed his own opinion about this, but he's got to realize that a huge portion of his listeners come down on the opposite side of the issue, and that many of them will conclude that he's using his media position to shill for a single candidate.

That's what I've concluded, and I'm sure I'm not alone.

It pains me, because I've been a faithful fan for a very long time, and listen nearly every day.

On the merits, I think Mark is wrong. As a child I was taught that a US president was required to be born on US soil to two US citizen parents. I went to primary school in the 50s and 60s when that was the agreed upon, widespread understanding of the NBC clause.

Since then, my belief in the Framers' wisdom has only increased. In my estimation, they chose the best possible insurance policy to guarantee our presidents would bear their primary loyalty to THIS country, and no other.

Sad to see that that simple prescription has become so purposely muddied and vilified by modern Americans.

Cruz was a Canadian until 2014.

Does anyone in their right mind think the Founders would approve of this?

Levin is a typical radio host. The only voice he really cares to hear is his own.

Mr. Trump has us all talking about the nastiness in politics, rather than ISSUES.

Sen. Cruz tried to take the high rode, but had to fight back. At least Cruz is STILL talking about ISSUES (as well as spending a little time fighting back)!

Interesting. Hmmm. I’ve been defending Levin because the people who trash him now are former worshippers but personally I could never listen to him. He was rude even to people who agreed with him. I enjoyed some of the stuff he wrote but as an on-air personality, not for me.

I, too, used to enjoy G. Gordon Liddy. He could be funny and no one could question his bravery and loyalty. He went to prison rather than turn on a friend.

I loved it when he would say, “I’m not allowed to have guns, but, fortunately, my wife has 35.”

I am disgusted with Levin as well.

If Article 2 Section 1 isn't convenient then why are other parts. Should they be ignored when inconvenient?

My head was exploding but I forced myself to listen to the destruction of another section of the Constitution.

Maybe these things wouldn’t be such a issue, Levin, if Cruz was actually natural born.

And if he fully reported what he is supposed to to the FEC.

The silly New York stuff, he opened himself up to. After all, it was his campaign ploy, not anybody else’s.

mark levin is a smart man, yes.
he is a ‘rabid American’, yes.

however, he and hannity both share a vocal frequency range that nears to being a harpy, in my Vietnam-disabled ears.

I’m not dropping anyone. I’ve never been a big Levin fan. He strikes me a lot like Michael Savage with a law degree and without the funny stories. Both are full of themselves. I only ever heard Levin’s show a few times, and I stopped listening to Savage years ago because he was too full of himself. And by the way, I think Santorum is a putz, and I’ve said it here for years.

He probably likes it, but I don’t.

He is so unprofessional not to even mention not presidential. The faces, the ugliness, the profanity, the childish, repetitive tweets (worthy of a teenager in love - but in his case it’s with himself).

I just can’t stand him any more and, as Hamlet said about Ophelia ... I did love him once.

I so agree with you. Cruz is who our republic needs. Not wolf-in-sheep’s clothing Mr. Trump. I’m heartsick over what Free Republic has become, and even more heartsick over the direction our country is heading. America will not get back on the right path under the leadership of a man whose love of money has been priority over humbling himself before God, and seeking His forgiveness and direction.

My husband listened to Liddy all the time. He missed it when it was gone.

A sizable number of Democrat blue collar workers will crossover and vote Trump. If you think they are impressed with a ‘’Conservative Scholar’, you are nuts. He is everything they dislike in a candidate. Reagan you could have a beer with, Cruz, what, a bible discussion?
