FBI official: 'Perfect storm' imperiling gun background checks

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — The surge of criminal background checks required of new gun purchasers has been so unrelenting in recent months that the FBI had been forced to temporarily halt the processing of thousands of appeals from prospective buyers whose firearm purchase attempts have been denied.

Since October, the bureau's entire cadre of appeal examiners— about 70 analysts — was redeployed here to help keep pace with waves of incoming background investigations that continued through December when a record 3.3 million firearm sales were processed.

The transfer of examiners, which had left a backlog of 7,100 appeals, is only part of a makeshift reorganization that FBI Assistant Director Stephen Morris said has become necessary to handle a burgeoning workload that expands in the wake of every mass shooting and call for increased gun control that invariably prompt firearms sales binges across the country.

Never saw THIS coming.

Deny a purchase, then refuse to process the appeal.

To Obama, this is not a bug, this is a feature.

And they want to extend this to ALL sales.

REQUEST DENIED.

I believe you predicted this as well. Both of you.

Deny a purchase, then refuse to process the appeal.

And they want to extend this to ALL sales.

REQUEST DENIED.

We just want you to never be able to buy any more. Ever.”

Um, I am really hating on these smart quote problems. Enough is enough already. Johnrob, it’s a simple fix. Use the HTMLencode command when you paint the screen.

De Facto gun control. Freedom will find a way though.

This is one of the reasons why I’ve always maintained a GFL or WCL here in Georgia. You can purchase a weapon without the NICS check if you have one.

I hope America’s enemies on the totalitarian left know what this demand for firearms means.

“REQUEST DENIED”

We need NO requests from bureaucrats for OUR INDIVIDUAL NATURAL RIGHTS FROM GOD.

There is NO MAN or STATE that can come BETWEEN God and Man-—no permission needed-—PERIOD.

This throwing out our Constitution by bureaucrats HAS to END. Yesterday! People who force these unconstitutional restrictions of UNALIENABLE Natural Rights need to be in prison. Yesterday.

Bet you one American dollar no appeals will process, ever again, until the next Republican President.

That’s what happens when you let Robert C. Byrd move the national processing center to a town of 16,000 people.

No, this is what happens when you want this to occur, on purpose.

Look for many more denials, very soon.

I tell people this: If you give the government can deny your 2nd amendment rights, they can deny ALL your other constitutional rights. Are you sure you want to let these people get away with that?
Same thing with euthanasia, once people give the government consent to kill them when they want to die, the same government may opt to kill people when they don’t want to die.

The guys at work laugh when I say this.
The armed citizenry is the only known and most effective way for free people to tell their governments, “NO!”

Can anyone diagram that sentence?
