CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — The surge of criminal background checks required of new gun purchasers has been so unrelenting in recent months that the FBI had been forced to temporarily halt the processing of thousands of appeals from prospective buyers whose firearm purchase attempts have been denied.
Since October, the bureau's entire cadre of appeal examiners— about 70 analysts — was redeployed here to help keep pace with waves of incoming background investigations that continued through December when a record 3.3 million firearm sales were processed.
The transfer of examiners, which had left a backlog of 7,100 appeals, is only part of a makeshift reorganization that FBI Assistant Director Stephen Morris said has become necessary to handle a burgeoning workload that expands in the wake of every mass shooting and call for increased gun control that invariably prompt firearms sales binges across the country.

In my home state, a CCW license substitutes for a NICS check for handguns. I believe our legislature is trying to change the law so it also serves for long guns as well.
One way or the other, they, the powers that be, Obama's bosses, are going to get the guns from law abiding citizens. They have to before the next phrase of turning America into a third world muslim shit hole. A few will resist [fight], but most will, for one reason or the other, comply. Why? Because before any action is to be taken, the media[s[ will launch a vicious attack on them describing them as crooks, criminals, thieves and more vile characters. It won't work some will say. It worked on George Zimmerman, Cliven Bundy, The guys at the Wild Life refuge. I read the derogatory comments made on this forum in reference to Zimmerman, Bundy, and the guys at the refuge. All based on lies put out by the media[s]. When they get ready to do it, it will work on us also.
If the FFL has not been notified within three business days that the sale would violate federal or state laws, the sale may proceed by default. That’s the federal side. States may be more restrictive.
People who are trying to immigrate here LEGALLY face the same thing.
The application processing center is in Burlington, Vermont. Because Patrick Leahy was chairing the committee at the time a site was chosen.

These are straight-DENY rendering, and the subsequent appeals because the denial is wrong.
Now, a DELAY may proceed after three days. Hillary Clinton calls this the Charleston Loophole. She wants to make a DELAY be a DENY until a PROCEED.
Combine this with the fact the NICS people cannot even handle appealed DENIES, and you have an outright gun ban.
Just start putting out a lot more DELAYS.

People think that means 185,000 guns were sold that day. No, it means 185,000+ were sold. Many people will buy several guns at once, and it only takes one background check to do that.

If I understand correctly - these are denials that are being appealed. The 3 day limit doesn’t apply.
