I was going to write something on why Trump sucks and then I saw this video.

And once I saw it, realized it says everything that needed to be said and all straight from Trump's mouth.

Conservatives for Trump are suckers.

No, just lower-than-low-information voters. They're members of the "if MY guy wants to rule be pen and phone it's ok" crowd. Anyone who thinks this ignoramus should be president isn't playing with a full deck.

Cruz pissed off the right people...the ones we detest.

Remember, we were cheering him on for it just a few months ago?

“Remember, there are 70% or so of us who are not for him.”

And 90% are not for Cruz.

You should point out that your video is 75 minutes, whereas th OP posted a two minute video. I lasted 10 minutes of what turned out to be your Trump-fomercial.

Care to address the OP video?

...these statements are meaningless platitudes made by a businessman eager to keep the government off his back

So now he spews meaningless platitudes in order to play president. He's a loud-mouthed imbecile.

I thought Obama was the very worst. What we are seeing from this guy is totally different, but maybe every bit or even more destructive in the end.

What a shame. Our once great nation has gone straight out of its mind.

You say that but what it means in practice is that he will accomplish absolutely nothing.

I know someone who kicked sand in everyone’s faces and it didn’t turn out well. You can win the battle and lose the war.

Your inept defense of Cruz is a perfect illustration of why so many people can’t stand him.

Yes, very very sad, both the left and right. Insanity rules.

No, I don’t “say” it, it’s what happened here.

He was applauded for it. In the same vein, we’ve always torn apart politicians who reach across the aisle.

What changed? When did that suddenly become desirable?

Yet you say nothing of the 50+ years of Republicans who have held various offices snookering conservatives and fattening their wallets, but only to work with Democrats and help advance leftist policies that have brought us to where we are today where we have no choice but to support a blue-collar billionaire.

So spare me your sanctimonious BS about how Trump is a liberal or secret agent of the Clintons but his critics NEVER address the FACT that Republicans have completely sold out the country in exchange of continuing to get invites at the D.C. cocktail party circuit.

Yes, we were. And Bachman, too. And one by one our “conservative” betters found something about the leading candidate they couldn’t stomach and knocked them off until we were stuck with the great “conservative” icon and Glenn Beck’s favorite “electable” winner, Myth Romney. Same thing happened four years earlier and we were finally stuck with the “electable” winner, John McCain. I swore this year that we would not fall into that trap. We should not go to great lengths to knock off our leading candidates. We may end up with Rubio or Bush or even the mailman’s son as our “electable” winner...

I don't know when you guys are going to figure out that these statements are meaningless platitudes made by a businessman eager to keep the government off his back and from raping his companies. Trump, TODAY, is articulating conservative valuesBETTER then anyone else.

Do you realize that his statement supporting having the government pay for universal health care was made in late September of 2015, during this primary campaign? Not back in the distant past?

This is mind-boggling to me. Freepers were furious because Congress didn't defund Obamacare, but now, many of the same people are salivating to vote for a guy who supports universal health care.

It's like an alternate universe.

I believe he is playing his supporters and would disappoint you all if elected.

Well, those who've been voting for Republicans since about 2004 certainly have lot of experience at being disappointed. If Trump follows through on a few of his promises it will be a vast improvement.

It's 2:25 long. Didn't watch it. I think libbylu has posted each sentence from it 30-40 times daily over the last week or two...

The reaching across the aisle business seemed to be mostly a one way street going LEFT. If the reach started turning right then it would make sense. The pendulum needs to swing hard. That's where the bully pulpit and the voter anger comes in.

Our system was set up to be a negotiation. We just need to out negotiate for a change.
