Some news to report out of Las Vegas where Donald Trump sat down with Field & Stream magazine for an interview during the National Shooting Sports Foundation’s annual SHOT Show.

First up, the GOP front-runner came out against letting states control public lands now run by the federal government saying, “I don’t like the idea because I want to keep the lands great, and you don’t know what the state is going to do."

“DT: I don’t like the idea because I want to keep the lands great, and you don’t know what the state is going to do. I mean, are they going to sell if they get into a little bit of trouble? And I don’t think it’s something that should be sold. We have to be great stewards of this land. This is magnificent land. And we have to be great stewards of this land. And the hunters do such a great job—I mean, the hunters and the fishermen and all of the different people that use that land. So I’ve been hearing more and more about that. And it’s just like the erosion of the Second Amendment. I mean, every day you hear Hillary Clinton wants to essentially wipe out the Second Amendment. We have to protect the Second Amendment, and we have to protect our lands.”

Is this what Trump really said? Isn’t it a little disjointed and disconnected? Does he have some kind of problem that keeps him from staying focused? Or is it that he doesn’t know what he’s talking about? Is he using words like great, terrific, magnificent to fill up space and stretch out his answers as I used to add superlatives to reports when I was in JHS to up the word count? His supporters appear to either not notice this about him or they’re very forgiving.

The one thing I have noticed is that there is a tremendous amount of disinformation and outright lies being attributed to coming from Donald Trump.

It is way too easy in this digital age to spread lies and innuendo and way too many willing to except what they see on Internet as truth.

Good information! Helps me figure things out...

Let trump say stuff, but look at his actions.

But instead of making that argument I will just dare conservatives to make a move for de-federalizing Yosemite or Glacier or Yellowstone or the Smokey Mountains or the Grand Canyon.

You really seem to be uniformed about this issue. No one is talking about turning National Parks over to the states.

This is an interview about hunting. There is no hunting allowed in National Parks.

The issue is over the many many times larger amount of federal lands that are not in National Parks but are still controlled by federal bureaucracies. Trump thinks federal control in distant Washington DC is a great thing because you never know what people will do when the feds don't control it. Your know, that icky thing called freedom where the central government doesn't control everything.

Is that your position? If not, you may want to rethink your support of Trump.

‘Yep, can’t trust those states to take of their own property.’

It’s not the state’s lands he was asked about, it was federal land. States have their own. State parks vs national parks.

He’s a knee jerk liberal. He has to work hard at pretending to be a conservative. But this election is about emotions. He’s THE ONE.

Yep.... THE ONE And in 4 years when he's explaining why no one has started on the wall yet, he'll still be THE ONE for the trumpsters.

“I like Cruz but his voice just grinds.”

Trumps attitude, petulance, past statements, position stands, endorsements and contributions are a grind and I’ll take a voice “grind” to that every day. I believe Trump will “deal make” his way out of and compromise his way out of every conservative promise he’s made. Trump is loyal to Trump.

Explain what he means by “expedite.”

And when you move the illegals out, many will not be coming back. They would have to wait until their country of origin has processed all the paperwork. This may take a lot longer than a few weeks.

If they’re here, they need to be contributing and paying taxes. We don’t need anymore on our welfare dime.

Cruz hasn’t been 100% clear on immigration. What would he do that’s so much better?

And, by the way, it wasn’t much of an issue with the other republican candidates until Trump made it one.

The demos and the media would love for Cruz to be the nominee.

“...Anyone here think state governments are less corrupt and more efficient than the federal government?...”

When it comes to the way state parks are managed? HECK YES!!

Of the many state parks I’ve visited, they are every bit as nice and well maintained — often times *much* better than — the many national parks I’ve visited. No question!

Trump supporters never cease to amaze me at how easily they can suddenly rationalize cozying up to Trump’s HYOOGE big-govt intentions. For the life of me, how can they not trust their own eyes and ears each time he (consistently) demonstrates his “NYC-Values” center-left political philosophy? It’s what he grew up with. It’s what he knows best. He keeps showing us that it is his first instinct.

I see your point but agenda 21 is advancing like never before today.
We need Trump to say he will deny the UN agenda 21. Unsign the treaty or something. Can that be done?

Do you know anything about agenda 21? It is about rewilding at least half the country. Moving people off land because owning land is socially unjust.Stopping ranching, farming, hunting and fishing.
People are to live in apartment buildings with low rent in designated areas.

I was recently amazed to read that the Seattle city council is eliminating the zone of single family housing. Adding many floors to existing apartment buildings and planning to build more. Then I found out that there are plans to seriously reduce single family homes in Portland, Oregon and San Fran.
Some legal challenges have lost in court - Pacific Legal Foundation.

In the meantime between the overstocking of huge, huge aggressive wolves from northern Canada into the west and harassment from the BLM and feds, ranches are disappearing all over the west.
Soon the only beef you can buy will be from China.

Property rights are rapidly disappearing. Right in front of my eyes.

They are rewilding for agenda 21. Get the people off the land. Return 50% to the wild. All people shall live in apartment buildings in designated areas.

There will be no property rights, hunting, fishing, ranching etc in the world they are rapidly bringing to fruition.

Don’t forget the ‘Buffalo Commons’ proposal. Portions of around 12 west-central states would be depopulated and taken out of productive use.
