Donald Trump feud causes panicking Fox News CEO Roger Ailes to call Ivanka and Melania in attempt to get the frontrunner BACK to the debate - but he'll only speak to Murdoch

Donald Trump's refusal to attend Fox News' debate on Thursday night has sent Fox News into chaos The network's CEO has reportedly reached out to both Ivanka and Melania Trump to try and get the Republican front-runner to change his mind He refuses to attend over the inclusion of anchor Megyn Kelly as one of the debate moderators and will only speak to network head Rupert Murdoch Kelly meanwhile welcomed liberal filmmaker Michael Moore on her program Tuesday night who applauded her handling of the Trump feud One Fox News anchor said of Moore and Kelly; 'That would be like Rachel Maddow laughing along with Charles Koch as he trashed Hillary Clinton!' Trump called Kelly a 'lightweight reporter' on Wednesday morning and his campaign manager said she is 'completely obsessed' with Trump

The Fox News and Donald Trump feud is heating up now that the Republican front-runner has announced he will not be attending the network's debate Thursday night over the presence of anchor Megyn Kelly.

And while the network appears to be publicly siding with Kelly, who is still set to moderate Thursday's debate, the network is also reportedly trying to privately plead with Trump the best way they know how - through the women in his life.

Joe Scarborough revealed on Morning Joe Wednesday morning that Fox News CEO Roger Ailes had been trying to contact both Ivanka and Melania Trump hoping they could convince Trump to change his mind.

Mexican plants too?! Glad I don’t have to suffer through it. I don’t know what ‘breaking the law’ these people can’t seem to get.

Trump looks like a petulant little 3rd grader here. Presidential? Not so much.

There are a lot of different ways of looking at. I look at it as standing up for a principle. These debates have been a laugh as run by the media. Lets get a real debate.

You know - even Brett Baier (who I kinda like) is developing that Fox Smirk when talking to or about Trump.

I'm so sick of muzzie faux-victimhood. Why couldn't Fox invite the relative of someone who was murdered by a muzzie terrorist, like Ft Hood, or the lady who had her cut off by a muzzie terrorist, in Oklahoma, or San Bernadino, if they wanted some citizen input? How are muzzies victims when it's muzzies who continue to kill people in the name of their pedophile prophet and demonic god?

Like him or not, he (Trump) is playing the media like a harp from hell.
Trump has nothing to gain by attending the debate.
Trump has everything to gain by not attending.
The country has everything to gain by Trump not attending as the act removes the media from the equation.
Fox is being put in a position of either bolstering Cruz(good in general, bad for GOPe) or taking Cruz down(a win for Trump).
To attack Trump when he is not there to defend himself will be perceived as cowardly and immoral, Trump wins in that scenario.
The fact is, Fox and The GOPe needs Trump more than Trump needs them.
From a strategic point of view, Trump should stick to his guns, the more they grovel the more he wins.
I am really enjoying this.

sure, but they are taking a big public hit on it, so they will do some loud PR squawking. The decision for the other networks is whether to parrot the Fox PR squawking or go with their vulture instincts. It seems at least to be a worthwhile gamble, since it is gonna happen no matter what if any of the candidates challenge the existing oligarchy

I’m surprised at how FNC is handling this. To begin, they chose the wrong group to moderate. They then did nothing to remedy a growing problem with their image, and allowed Kelly to continue speaking about it and kept her on as a moderator.

They should have been working behind the scenes to allow everyone to save face and to assuage Trump’s anger regarding the outrageous treatment he received during the debate.

Stupid, stupid, stupid. Ailes should lose his job.

Having the sleaziest of sleazbags Michael Moore on was over the line....as was the Putin. Ayatollah thing, no way should Trump be on the debate. Take their apology, but don’t go on. By having Michael Moore on to blabber his crap is the ultimate insult.

Instead he should take every non-fruitcake candidate with him to his townhall. I know that limits those that could go with him, but it should leave about 3. 1 for each moderator, should make things simple for them.

Don’t do the debate Mr.Trump...Don’t do the debate Mr.Trump...Don’t do the debate Mr.Trump...Don’t do the debate Mr.Trump...Don’t do the debate Mr.Trump...Don’t do the debate Mr.Trump...Don’t do the debate Mr.Trump...Don’t do the debate Mr.Trump...Don’t do the debate Mr.Trump...Don’t do the debate Mr.Trump...

Americans, for decades, have had to watch these debates and squirm at the inappropriate, deeply personal and insulting questions delivered by panelists who are called
“journalists”. Ick.

Panelists must surely get bonuses based on the degree of viciousness they can issue.

Dare any of us even dream that debates be conducted with a little dignity and respect for the country, that contenders for the United States of America’s highest position might have the respect they deserve in a damn debate?

My highest hope is that the open warfare approach by the panelists against ALL contenders is chilled, in favor of an informative one that with dignity makes all of us look good.

I am always embarrassed that other countries see our debates so outrageously conducted.

RE:”Odds are pretty good that the Senate will be Dem in 2017. They have only 10 seats up while the pubs have 24 seats up.”

And its a bad cycle for Pubs because six years ago was 2010 a wave election against Dems, the GOP has the hard seats tohold. Add that to Dem vote turnouts in POTUS years usually high and we may have an ugly situation.

Doesn't that make having a Cruz in the WH even more important than a dealer?

It is my hope that One America News (OANN) can lure another headliner to join Graham Ledger to fortify their editorial content.

Their news side is already of excellent quality and improving daily. They are likely attracting new viewers at a tremendous rate. I am so glad that I found this alternative news source.

If Trump is the insecure one, then why is Ailes begging Trump's, wife and child to get Trump to change his mind??? Simple, Ailes was banking on a big cash flow and he was going to use Trump to cash in...

The Foxes do NOT own Trump.... and it is fun to watch these presstitutes get outed for the trash they are.

It's simple, Fox. Apologize and sideline that bitch Megyn.

No! First off, Kelly is a ratings goldmine and is a jewel in the crown of the network and her pay reflects it. If Fox throws her under the bus, they will lose viewership and probably lose her to CNN and you'll see the beginning of a reversal in ratings rankings. It's simple leadership same as we did in the army. You've gotta back your people or you'll lose unit cohesion. The best way is to convince Trump (via his daughters) to attend. If he doesn't, no sweat. Reagan skipped his Iowa debate too and still won the election in a landslide.
