Donald Trump Campaign Manager: Other Candidates Thinking About Skipping Fox Debate
Breitbart ^ | 01/27/16 | Charlie Spiering

Posted on 01/27/2016 9:18:07 AM PST by Enlightened1

Speaking on Good Morning America and Morning Joe this morning, Donald Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski hinted that other candidates were thinking of dropping out of the upcoming Fox News debate after Trump decided to bail.

He asserted that anchor Megyn Kelly was "obsessed" with his boss, which was one reason why Trump decided not to participate.

"Megyn Kelly is totally obsessed with Mr. Trump," Lewandowski said on Good Morning America. "She's done multiple shows on why he shouldn't be even involved in the race on television. She's completely obsessed with him. It's impossible to have a fair and honest debate."

Lewandowski argued that Fox News was trying to use the event to promote its own employees, not the issues that mattered to voters.

"What Fox wants to do is they want to have 24 million people tune in to watch Donald Trump so that their anchors can have the story about them," he said, pointing out that Trump could see it was a "bad deal" to appear at the debate.

Lewandowski previewed a Trump event in Des Moines, saying he would be raising money for wounded veterans, and said in an interview on Morning Joe that other campaigns had phoned them for details of the event.

"I had a number of calls yesterday with some of the other campaigns who said, hey, can we come and join you in raising money for the wounded warriors, for veterans because, you know, if Fox isn't going to be fair to you, what makes you think they're going to be fair to us," he said.

He called Fox executives "very dishonest" for accusing him of threatening Kelly in phone calls, and accused them of favoring other candidates because they had family members working for them.

Trump was about to have to face the music on his leftist views that he has hidden with populist screaming.

gay rights
abortion
eminent domain
his payment to politicians for favors/access (like eminent domain)
his praise of Hillary
his anti-gun stance (except for rich guys like him)

The fact he called middle-America “stupid”

Etc.

I’ll laugh if Fox ends up with just three US Senators

Rand Paul is going to bash Trump every second he can......however, it will be interesting if he bashes Trump for missing the debate since he missed the last one.

Hard to believe we have 3 idiots as first term senators thinking they should win the Presidency. Thank God the American people say otherwise.

Look at the thousands at all the rallies.

Look at the polls.

The vote is in less than 7 days.

Trump has already won 6 debates according to the polls.

While the DNC only had 3 and they are finished.

What would be the advantage to Trump at one more debate with a plan to sabotage him when he has a bigger lead than Ronald Reagan at this time.

BTW, Ronald Reagan DID SKIP the last debate.

Yeah a 1-800 number. That is the easy part, all Trump needs to do is say exactly who the money will go to.

Just common if not universal. You can judge if it acceptable. It really doesn’t matter.

That would be Game Over for the Establishment.

All they would have is a Jeb Love fest.

Especially since Trump's exit opened a spot for him in the top tier.

The comments on that poll are really pro Trump.
Glad to see some more proof that people aren’t buying the kool-aid this time around.

David Vitter skipped debates in LA in 2015 and lost the race for governor to an Obama-bot.

Jebbie should bring the popular Barbara to give him moral support.

Consider that this practice, if one deems it unacceptable, begs for someone with the ability to affect the status quo to do something.

Then contrast that viewpoint with the slings and arrows arrayed against Trump for this specific action.

It does matter whether we the people accept that the fourth estate is de facto a controlling part of the governmental process.

I got a kick out of all the snarky pundits who yesterday were happily predicting that this dust-up will probably be "the Trump mistake that finally does him in!"

Looks like Trump again will come out on top. Looks like Fox will take a huge ratings hit tomorrow night...and looks like the various lefty and establishment pundits will look like the chumps they are.

Even the anti-Trumpers here on this forum are STILL bitterly clinging to their illusions that he will be brought down....and they're predictably reduced now to posting the LAMEST comments against Mr. Trump that I've ever seen posted anywhere.

I’m less sensitive than about this than you because I pay very little attention to the MSM. We have the Internet now. That’s my source.

I do not watch TV news. Many lower information types do.

THAT is why it matters so much to me. The media should not be running the game.
