Natural born citizen means born here of citizen parents.
The founders wanted no foreign influences on the Presidency.
If one could be anything other than a US citizen at birth, one cannot be a natural born citizen.
Cruz was Cuban, Canadian and US citizen at birth
Rubio was US and Cuban
Neither is eligible
Owebowmao was a British subject and US citizen
He is ineligible as well

Yes, that was my point.

The anchor baby construct was made up out of whole cloth by Justice William O. Douglas in a dissent in 1982.

Also, the 14th does not and cannot change any requirement for President, nor does it contain the words “natural born” in it.

The issue with Cruz is that he was born a triple national—Cuban, Canadian and American. Under Canadian law, he was born a natural born citizen of Canada.

His American citizenship comes through his mother, as an act of Congress, the 1952 Immigration and Naturalization Act. Thus, some say naturalization is involved. Although born an American citizen that does not equate to natural born citizen.

Rubio was born in Florida with two Cuban national parents.

How this fact has been allowed to sail under the radar for this long is amazing.

And you are correct, Jindal was not eligible either.

Way to go, RNC!!!

yet he's still standing on their stage now, and has been there REPEATEDLY!

Shhh! You're giving away the plan!

Cruz was supposed to hang on until he gathered some delegates...then he would be declared ineligible and the establishment would turn around and give his delegates to their own chosen one.

Owebowmao was what our founders were trying to prevent with the requirement of natural born citizen, seems like it has proven out to be a wise measure.

I didn’t realize Fox had the legal standing to make such a declaration.

Seriously, although I have been pulling for Cruz, I’m surprised he’s dumb enough to go on Fox after all this. Fox wants Cruz gone just as badly as they want Trump gone.

As to Trump: I am really impressed with how smart he is and how smooth he is. I really hope he is on my side. I already know he’s pro-choice. If he’s lying about his 2nd amendment stance as well, we’re doomed. Trump can get things done where Odumbo couldn’t. If he wants higher taxes, limits of free speech, and gun confidcations.....by gawd he’ll get them. He’s that good.

I sure hope we know what we’re doing.

No kidding! Since we have so many ineligible candidates, it makes you wonder if our 'betters' at the RNC are trying to win the Presidency, or just provide cover for Obama's nasty backside.

Well, that’s a compelling reason to support someone who is a RINO, and to the left of the Hildabeest on many issues that should matter to actual conservatives.

You can claim to be a Cadillac, doesn’t mean you are one.

Yup.

Poor, Ted. I had such hope when Palin directed my attention to this up and coming Republican star from Texas.

He was like the "anti-obama" in every way who could undo the obama damage and restore Constitutional sanity to the Republic!

I would have followed someone of integrity with a resume like that into the gates of Hell if that's what it took to save our Constitutional Republic.

But then his ego or something said to him, "Ted, why fight it when instead you could be President, too!" and off he went down the yellow brick road to see the Wizard.

Now with "Ted Cruz for President", it's like I just feel sorry for him whenever I see him or hear his commercials.

Poor, Ted. It didn't have to be like this.

My broken heart just sighs, shakes its head and says, "You coulda been a contenda for justice, instead of a presidential pretenda for yourself."

It’s not you (or other GOP) I’d worry about...it’s the Dems who would make a big deal out of this...Regardless of the Ones background

Depending on how close Trump is to the Clinton crime family he might be impeachable on day one.

My opinion of Cruz is this: I think Trump wanted him for his V.P. but Cruz told him he had birth issues, Trump gave him time to fix them, but Cruz sealed everything up...

I don’t think Cruz’s mother was a U.S. Citizen at the time that Cruz was born in Canada, I think she have up her U.S. Citizenship and figured they would live in Canada...then when the dad left, she came back to Texas...at that time when Cruz was born, Canada did not have ‘dual citizenship’ as they do now, and I think that is why Cruz doesn’t let his mother out on his campaign and that is what he has sealed up...he isn’t a citizen of either country, he gave up his citizenship to Canada in 2014, so he is a person with no citizenship to either Canada or the U.S. and I think Texas should look into this, he is a Senator of the U.S., but there again, in California they have illegal immigrants in one town running...

I agree. But we don’t need this intra-party carping, frankly. If we had a Congress worth a damn, we’d have an indictment of Hillary next week. Either that, or a forceful rebellion by Congress to stop all business with Obama until he tells Lynch to indict the bitch.

If Trump does only two things——

1) Close the borders, build the wall and deport 60 million illegals.

2) Hold Nuremberg style trials to root out all the commies, muslims and subversives in Washington D.C.

“I am really impressed with how smart he is and how smooth he is.”

Smart guy in video says that Trump is a stone genius!

If you fast forward to 8:00 Stefan Molyneux explains why.

Lol. You shouldn’t be evoking Nuremburg while openly supporting a wannabe fascist. Besides,my here is zero evidence to support Trump backing his overheated rhetoric. You’re blind to a degree that would embarrass an ‘08 Obamabot.
