He has his hands up. Someone is behind him and then he appears to go to his jacket and is instantly shot.

That’s the ‘he was going for his fun’ move. If that weren’t there, we wouldn’t be seeing this video that fast.

But was the first shot fired BEFORE he went for the gun? Wish we had audio.

Do the Oregon State Troopers use taser guns? Might have been tased first before being shot dead from behind. This could explain Lavoy's arm movements before the fatal shot.

I thought it looked as though he was opening his coat to show them he was unarmed. If he’s left-handed, why would he pull out a gun with his right hand and then not shoot right away?

Viewed it 4 times, his hand were up, then he was shot at least once from the LEO near the highway, then shot again from the LEO coming in behind him. That what it appears to me.

On the link commenters are claiming that he was left handed and so couldn’t have been going for a gun.

But look here, this video clearly shows he had a shoulder holster on left side (right where he was supposedly going for a gun on the video when he was shot), as well as as a hip holster on his right side:

Both as appropriate for a right-handed shooter.

It looks like bullet holes in the windshield when the camera pans around to the front. So that gives the story, of them being fired upon so he took off, some credibility.

I hope those law enforcement agents feel good about gunning down an American, in cold blood, to save some government politicians crony deals.

What a complete bunch of BS. My blood is boiling right now after seeing that.

From the video, it's obvious LaVoy wasn't charging the agents. The agents were the ones doing the charging and killing. LaVoy appears to have intentionally and successfully distracted the agent's attention and possible gunfire away from the vehicle and its occupants by presenting himself as an easy target. I say this because of how quickly he moves away from the vehicle, even in deep snow, presenting himself with hands raised, totally out in the open. No reason to do that, unless you're trying to draw attention/gun fire away from the vehicle.

His actions and the fact the others remained inside the vehicle is probably what may have saved their lives. I'd like to see the remainder of the video and learn the truth about how many rounds, flash bangs, and tear gas was used in attempt to draw the others from inside the vehicle. And let's see the dash cam and body cam footage with audio.

The man defiantely was NOT charging at police- did he reach for coat before getting shot? Who knows- but in one video it looks like as he veered left into snowbank, the truck struck an officer who bolted out behind a vehicle- but the video is weird because the officer lurched really fast on the video- way too fast- like the video was edited-
