I the name of diversity and inclusion, Mattel has announced big changes to its Barbie product line again this year that will now include three new body types for the iconic doll: curvy, tall, and petite.
"The company hopes that the new dolls, with their diverse body types, along with the new skin tones and hair textures introduced last year, will more closely reflect their young owners’ world,"

When I was a kid and played with them, I could care less about body types. It must be the moms who are obsessed with this. I won’t be buying any of the new ones.

LOL! My daughters didn't have any brothers to worry about, but we did have a dog that seemed to find Barbie's hands and feet to be delicious.

Nope, not buying it.
Women of course CAN be very critical. But women are also famous for actually talking, and men being quiet. Men still think it. On FR they often display it. Women on FR rarely make much irrelevent comment about females in the news.
So, all the past ideals of beauty come from women? Ruebenesque and all? What women do is because men want it. The truth is that men have driven just about everything over history.
