I have tried to listen to Rush, but I can’t take him for more than 5 minutes.

Older gentleman at hardware today said.
Trump is not democrat, not liberal, not republican, not conservative. He’s an American who loves our country.

He went on to say
And hes NOT a lawyer.

“The other day, Rush did a 3 hour Cruzathon”

This whole thing with talk radio has me totally perplexed.

I've never seen 80 percent of the so called conservative radio talkers get it wrong for so long.

Who was giving them the script.....Levin and Beck?

While the people understood it right off the bat. IMO there's a lot of pressure coming from somewhere (you can hear it Rush's voice).

I blame the entire conservative 'media' for not bringing up the FACT that Cruz and Rubio are INELIGIBLE for the office of POTUS. All this crap should have been nipped in the bud years ago.

When a clear leader arrives on the scene, everything changes. What conservative pundits fail to see (and I am a registered Conservative voter in NY) is that, if they succeed in bringing down Trump, they stand to lose the most and will be relegated to the back of the line for years to come.

Thanks for the post; link. Programming has many masks - many agendas, different degrees of amplification and many venues to deceive.

Into my 4th year not watching FOX. As self-deprogramming continued, things became more clear.

HOORAY Trump
HOORAY FReepers/researchers/educators/truth-seekers.

The open border cabal, in which I include Rush at this point, actually thinks flooding America with foreigners is a good thing in almost all cases. They cannot see any other point of view as valid. It is almost religious belief and if you think differently you must be a racist.

The solution to USA's political/social problem will be a secession and a split. Perhaps Civil War II.

I’ve stopped looking at Fox News as an ally but just as enemy of my enemy. Kid of like the USSR was in WWII.

The open border cabal, in which I include Rush at this point, ...

Rush has devolved into being more establishment...and why I stopped listening on any regular basis. His railing on social conservatives via his "golfing buddies" is dispicable.

If you employ domestic help with thick accents the more likely you are to be on the Cheap Labor Express.

I fail to see hw you include Rush in the open borders cabal. just because he sys the occasional nice thing about Cruz or Rubio doesn’t mean he supports everything they say.

Rush is bed with Ailes, Murdoch. Fox News and the Cheap Labor Express cartel. Don’t BS me. I expect Rush to retire soon, just a gut feeling.

Probably a good thing you stopped listening because you clearly don’t understand the point he’s making.

He tells that story to demonstrate how UN-conservative the GOP elite really is.

Heard that story many, many, times. Always took him to be on the side of the social conservatives.

One of his undeniable truths is that abortion is murder.

Rush turned a tin ear to Americas cry for relief from a foreign invasion and off shoring of our industrial base. He has had decades to get on board with protecting Americans from glowBULLism yet he still tells us how great "Free Trade " is to the USA. Rush is out of touch. Yeah, I said it.

At this point the only people I trust are the American people. They are saying Trump can get it done. They are right.

I've had the same troubles trying to understand the changes in talk radio since "the Kenyan-born Senator from Hawaii" Barry obama began his campaign to assume the presidency.

Given his life, fact and fiction, its contradictions, mysteries and the dreams of his father, the reasons for a strict NBC definition didn't get any more blatant than with the Trojan horse Barry obama.

I thought Rush and the rest, especially the local hosts of the big city AM stations, would tear it up getting the truth out.

It started out that way, but those fires have been slowly stamped out. Only a few small flare-ups from still smoldering embers from time to time, but that's about it these days until "Ted Cruz for President" and here we go again.

Thing is, even at his level, Rush works for someone and those at that level have to obtain and maintain their station's/stations' FCC license(s), in addition to paying the bills and paying hosts from Limbaugh on down the food chain.

Radio is a tough business and stations get sold to people with an entirely different agenda than those Rush originally partnered with.

These are the people who like acquiring "Established Credibility" and then "flipping it", so to speak.

They then use that credibility to fundamentally transform bits and pieces of our beliefs and identity to make them and our thoughts fit their message/agenda, while the good name cred still says it's as worthy as it ever was.

This way the listener's guard is down, leaving him/her trusting and open to suggestions and redefinitions.

Any story, any caller or whatever that might confront and challenge the transformation is quickly shot down, so that their claims fall, crash and burn with them, letting the transformation slowly become solid enough to support the weight of public opinion.

When local hosts would bring obama's ineligibility up, they didn't last very long, especially those in the after Limbaugh, drive time spot from 3-6 PM.

The local CAIR reps would call in constantly with one host who was more open about his Christianity in addition to challenging obama's ineligibility.

I imagine the pressure on Rush, who has shown himself to be a very good dancer when he has to be, is intense and tailor-made to fit.

Some here have provided the "Follow the money" maps leading to who owns whom and where the seats of power are located and where one finds plausible answers and new and improved questions.

I think we’ve all known Fox was just a tad left of center. Nothing new there. The difference was that they at least had some conservative hosts and content and seemed much more fair than the extreme left-wing of NBC/CBS/CNN/ABC/MSNBC/NPR.

I certainly hope so. We’re agreed on that.
