You don't think he'd cut taxes and regulations? Perhaps make better trade deals and possibly bomb the crap out of ISIS?

It's a start....lol!

There are sure a lot of tender feelings around here that get damaged easily.

I want a president who's going to KICK ASS, and hurt LOTS of feelings. Someone who's more worried at how weak and vulnerable our country has become, and is willing to FIGHT and step on toes - and do everything within his powers as chief executive to return America to it's rightful place as the preeminent world superpower. Below is an overview of his immigration plan:

1. A nation without borders is not a nation. There must be a wall across the southern border.
2. A nation without laws is not a nation. Laws passed in accordance with our Constitutional system of government must be enforced.
3. A nation that does not serve its own citizens is not a nation. Any immigration plan must improve jobs, wages and security for all Americans.

--Triple the number of ICE officers.
--Nationwide e-verify.
--Mandatory return of all criminal aliens
--Detention-not catch-and-release
--Defund sanctuary cities.
--Enhanced penalties for overstaying a visa
--Cooperate with local gang task forces.
--End birthright citizenship.
--Increase prevailing wage for H-1Bs
--Requirement to hire American workers first

Your ‘Why didn’t the birth of his own children change his POV’.....is the reason I answered as I did.

People can have children and be instantly in love....
....but it may be years, as in my case, before I became aware of the abortion issue and responded to it.

I wish folks would give Trump the benefit of the doubt.....and be glad he is prolife now.
Is that too much to ask!

[roamer_1:] How can it possibly be beyond reason to question the morality of Trump? Evidence ABOUNDS. You don't even have to dig for it. It's right there in his lifestyle, his business practices, and his general demeanor.

It's not the question that is the problem. It is the offensive way the questions are delivered -- as declarations of absolute truth, when in fact, it is the poster's personal opinion and judgment -- that is the problem.

It has been my observation that absolutely ANYTHING is an offense if it is critical of Donald Trump, truth be damned.

It is also the presumption that being an armchair keyboardist is a qualificatiion to judge, based on hearsay, outdated sources or political talking points rather than objective research from actual witnesses.

What does this even mean? 'Shut up and listen to your betters', is that the idea?

Many people go through life believing that their personal opinion is the same as actual fact. It is a mark of maturity, and far less offensive to others, to learn to express one's point of view objectively, or at least to admit it is an opinion or an impression you have, not something you truly know anything about. You weren't there; but God was. He alone is the judge of people's souls.

Yeah, I've heard all this 'don't judge' before - The problem with it is that we have a responsibility to choose our leaders wisely (according to that very same God). How does that happen without judgement (discernment)? Just how does one discern if one cannot field a critical review? The idea is totally without merit on it's face.

Of course we must judge. Telling you that you are going to go to hell is WAY past my paygrade, of course, but that doesn't preclude me from making a critical assessment.

You would do better to read a couple of his books and both his web sites than to just sit back and sling accusations on FR. Those of us who have done the research on this candidate are getting tired of it. The country is at stake. Don’t expect others to do it for you.

I was a businessman and entrepreneur my entire life - I haven't worked for anyone since I was 19/20... I read 'Art of the Deal' and 'Art of the Comeback' as a matter of course. Those two were awful enough, and I need not read anymore. My opinion of Trump is long held and well informed.

Yes, the country is at stake. What wil fix it is what has ever been what will fix it. Conservatism. Nothing else will do. To expect Conservatism out of a NY Yankee, crony capitalist liberal is beyond fantasy...

I think he will conserve a lot of things. I think others are beyond conservation. What he will not do is start out from an ideology in order to move forward. He appears to be an ENTP and a trail blazer. He will develop an initial strategy and refine it as he goes. I know that’s scary. So if he gets the nom, the smartest patriots need to find their way to him. I personally am building my path. You?

Nonsense. He is ideologically left of center, and if he gets the nomination, that is precisely the direction he will move.

He appears to be an ENTP and a trail blazer. He will develop an initial strategy and refine it as he goes.

How convenient. So not only can he change the promises he gave, but he can move in any direction he wants with no thought of governance...

I know that’s scary.

No, what is scary is how many people buy his shtick without a single thing but election year promises to back it up. What's scary is the insane hero worship that causes people to pay no attention to the man behind the curtain. Literally true that nothing will dissuade them. No policy change, no flip-flop, no hard core proven evidence. Y'all are flying blind, without gauges.

So if he gets the nom, the smartest patriots need to find their way to him. I personally am building my path. You?

I am a principled Conservative, leaning Christian Right. There is not a single thing on this earth that will cause me to vote for this man. Lost me at casinos and strip clubs, not to mention a thousand other red flags. He is of such an appalling character that I wouldn't trust him as dogcatcher. Not to mention his leftward ideology. If I could be convinced he was of reasonable character, I still don't vote for liberals. Not a chance in hell.

But you are welcome to try:

Convince me by his record that he embraces the unmovable principle things of each of the conservative factions.
Financial conservatives
Social conservatives
Defense conservatives
Civil-libertarian conservatives.

Show me his conservative stripes according to their principles, so that I might trust him, and you can have my vote.

But that ain't gonna happen, and I think you know it. There isn't a single conservative thing about him.

Such a pity that we here, who are here for the purpose of supporting and defending the principles of Conservatism, have so lost sight of the very thing we are here to do.

Liberalism is not Conservatism.

Trump is for:

I don't care a whit what he SAYS he's for: PROVE IT. That is what the record is for, and why I asked you to show me in the record.

EVERYBODY promises conservatism. Promises are worth exactly nothing. It's the record that proves it.

Well, cue the maniacal cackle right here. Uh, he was a businessman. There is no record one can compare that is apples to apples. He has worked both sides depending on situations, because he was not a politician; he is a businessman.

So I am going on the fact that he has beat all the other candidates to the punch with his proposals; his proposals are comprehensive and hit every major point; he has published them in book form and in position papers; he has called out the government and media corrupion in plain language that The People can understand; and has worked like a dog all his life to get things done -- and the quality of his work is outstanding. He loves excellence. He loves this country. Years ago he fought an expensive battle in Florida with the town council that wanted him not to fly a large American flag. He has more to lose personally than to gain by being President, so why run if he didn't want to put his heart and soul into saving a dying nation? He certainly doesn't need a job or the fame.

You go your way and may God bless you. I guess your Apostle is Thomas. See you down the road.
