Read that one about forty years ago.
“....So what is Trump taking about other than Canadian-style socialized medicine?”
Trump IS talking about Canadian-style socialized medicine, so you are correct.
Bret Baier at THE FIRST GOP DEBATE asked why Donald Trump supported single-payer in 2000. Hereâs his answer.
“As far as single payer, it works in Canada. It works incredibly well in Scotland.”
He HAS said what he wanted. Multiple times, at pretty much every campaign stop he makes. Are you even listening?
I know who you support, and I know that you’re only making people associate him with snide comments and condescending remarks.
For someone who claims to support a candidate, you’re sure doing a piss-poor job of it.
1. Not a SINGLE PAYER system. More on my profile page.
2. It is the Christian thing to do to help your fellow man and woman when a health malady strikes.
But under the Constitution, it is not the government's place to force anyone to do the "Christian thing". It is amazing to me how many "conservative" Trump supporters reveal themselves to be nothing more than big-government liberals in their efforts to defend Trump.
We do many things which are not in the constitution.
Such as:
Giving welfare to 30 million illegals.
Giving free education to illegals.
Allowing sanctuary cities.
Establishing Obamacare.
Giving foreign aid all over the world.
Allowing people to vote without proof of citizenship.
Progressive taxation.
Getting forked on foreign trade.
Constitution is less than 100 pages.
IRS tax code is 75,000 pages.
Regulations issued by federal government are in excess of a million pages.
Constitution was never intended to detail nitty gritty of every task by the federal government. It’s main purpose was to prohibit the federal government from doing certain things, such as establishing a state religion.
If constitution does not specifically prohibit universal healthcare, there is nothing anti-constitutional about it. It is left up to the people to elect representatives based on their wishes. In a democratic republic, the power resides with the elected reps.
As I said, another leftist exposing himself. What you just described it the typical "living Constitution" view that completely ignores the 9th and 10th Amendments. No wonder you are a Trump fan - the Constitution is just a suggestion to people like you.
However, contrary to your view, the Constitution is supposed to severely restrict what the Federal government can do. Any responsibilities not assigned to the Federal government is reserved to the states and to the people. Now have we gotten away from that? Absolutely. But conservatives have to goal of getting us back to that form of government. Liberals (apparently including you and Trump) are in favor of expanding the role of the Federal government into all aspects of our daily live.
Fine. Explain the details, because Trump has not. And he HAD a chance to explain it on national TV, and he passed.
You can throw out all the adjectives you want,
it does not change anything.
Nothing conservative is going to happen, until you can win hearts and minds of American people. With attitudes such as yours, you are driving more people away than you are attracting.
.
Thank you for your concern Satan.
It is a reasonable question. Are you in favor of letting people die in the streets? If you are unwilling to answer the question then you are an intellectual coward.
“Are you in favor of letting people die in the streets? If you are unwilling to answer the question then you are an intellectual coward.”
Wow, let me indulge in your moronic “intellectual” fallacy. There are thousands of people dying “in the streets”, from automobile accidents to homicides. I do not want anyone to die “in the streets”, but I do not think a top down gubmint social engineering is a “brave” solution either.
What are the ramifications of “saving” people “in the streets” ? Who is going to pay for it? What is the scope of gubmint freebies? Will it infringe on individual liberty? Besides, will is kill more than save?
Please answer those questions before you accuse others of intellectual cowardice.
Yes. Yes, I know. I am most definitely accusing you.
And your response is to do a Monty Python routine.
Why? You can do the research yourself. I know that your delicate ears can’t stand the sound of the Donald’s voice, but just maybe you can endure it long enough to take a listen at one of his rallies.
And because you’re demanding the details, I’m sure that means that you’re admitting that Trump is not, in fact, promoting socialized medicine?
.
Did he really fart in your face?
He absolutely did not—don’t lie about it.
Not directed to you, Van-D, but to others ...

I don’t think it’s a good idea to tempt me to debate any more over Trump-Cruz.
Just came to this thread for the sake of fairness and mutual respect and would rather research other things besides this primary.
FoxNews didn’t launch a debate .. it was an Alwaleed hatchet-job. Cruz got burned.
Megyn Kelly essentially confessed at 3:00 AM that she had unfairly attacked Cruz.
I openly hoped that Cruz wouldn’t walk into that trap.

... The third individual, Nabela Noor, is a Muslim American who is an outspoken critic of anyone who, like Trump, questions the motivations of Muslims, Muslim immigrants, Islam, and jihad. Noor, who reportedly equated Trump with Adolf Hitler, will most likely address Muslim-related issues with the candidates. Quite possibly, Noor will question Trumpâs plan to temporarily close U.S. immigration to Muslims. Noor states she uses her voice to combat what she perceives as negative stereotypes of Muslims, a phenomena she states is more prevalent ...
