I AM honest. That’s why I’m telling you that Trump’s plan, according to his site and his speeches, is NOT single payer. Competition across state lines is not single payer, no matter how much you desperately wish it was.
I won’t call it perfect, but if you listen to his actual position on the issue instead of the voices in your head, it’s a damn sight better than what we have now.
Trump has also talked about putting prescription drugs out for bid on behalf of Medicare—for a possible savings of $300 billion per year.
He says current political class is too beholden to Big Pharma and is afraid to touch this approach. It is standard procedure, of course, in a business deal, to get competitive bids.
