Well done, sir!
Thanks.
Who died and made you?
Good night. :)
I only got to hear parts of Ted’s speech, and some of those while rather distracted at that. Due to it’s length I’m certainly not going to be able to relisten again for a couple days, at least. I’ve not seen a transcript yet, either. Most of what I heard I liked, but if Cruz did omit “good jobs”, that’s a bit worrisome.
My question though, is: Did Ted say he won because he spent more money in Iowa than several of the other major (name) candidates combined? (They included Bush but not Trump - I assume Trump did not spend much.) I know Cruz was thanking the donors, but, still, in an anti-establishment / anti-big-money year, could that come back to bite him...?
Trump will have a victory speech to give in 8 days. He’ll have the delegate lead going into SC.
Cruz reminds me of Obama the way he points his finger. It’s like he’s lecturing his audience. Just like Obama. And that nasally thing gets to me.
Trump hit just the right chord. He was gracious in defeat and upbeat. No Howard Dean moment. Round 1 is over with many more to come.
Good Lord! Can that be sustained on a national level?
Meh, they both get the same amount of delegates. In the end it’s a 3 way tie.
Moral victory though I suppose.. Enjoy.
That’s a pretty good bet this time. New Hampshire usually counters Iowa.
Not to disparage the effort at all, but Cruz got 4.3041 votes per Cruz team volunteer. The ratio would be lower if paid Cruz campaign workers are included, making the denominator “Cruz team member”.
I’ve not seen an exact number for what Cruz and Cruz supporters spent in Iowa: It’d be interesting to know how much each vote cost.
Good speech.
Please realize that the emotions are raw after Trumpanzees attacked Cruz for weeks and called him an usurping foreigner. Let Cruz supporters have their moment... I am sure they WANT Trumpâs supporters. Come HOME!
***
In return, please realize that after MONTHS of being called cultists, Trumpanzees, being told that we were going to be damned by God for not supporting Ted Cruz in the top spot, we are a little bit annoyed and want absolutely nothing to do with certain supporters of Mr. Cruz.
Nice conciliatory speech.
Thank you.
And to Sen Ted - congratulations for a well fought fight and coming out on top of Rubio. If Trump had to lose, you were the one to make that happen. Go lightly on Dr. Carson. You may find yourself in need of his help one day. The time is fast approaching where every true patriot will be in need of help from other like minded brothers and sisters. United we stand and have the opportunity to win the fight. Divided, we fall and deservedly so. Just as an aside...there is still the nagging question as to how you intend to show yourself to be an NBC when the moon dogs (Nancy, Hillary, Reid) come knocking on your door howling at the brightness of the light shining down on you. Now, is there anyone out here who can enlighten this one as to what happened on our X-Files this evening? Dang it, the entire program was missed!!
Yea maybe.. Trump was ahead in all the polls leading up to the Vote.. Trump’s big head got in the way of a victory!!!
Cruz won tonight and will do very well in NH.. Maybe second next he will win in SC!!!
Wow. I just realized the NH primary is one week away! Feb 9th.
That is my concern. If Cruz can sustain that level of a ground game, he would be light years away from what the DemonRATs do. My concern is this: can he duplicate that level of organization from now to November? I am sure he used quite an impressive ground game when he ran for the U.S. Senate. That experience helped him in Iowa but, for all of his effort, he will get little to show for it. With Iowa’s proportional delegate system, Cruz will get a slight advantage over Trump in the next step: How the delegates are selected for Iowa’s 99 county conventions.
That was nice. He dropped a hint (more accurately, I merely inferred) that Mike Huckabee will be his running mate.
Meanwhile, Hillary won six out of six coin flip tiebreakers, and 90 precincts' ballots are missing.
