Donald Trump just accused Ted Cruz of stealing the Iowa caucuses over the Cruz campaign's admission that it helped spread a rumor that Ben Carson was dropping out of the race:

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump Ted Cruz didn't win Iowa, he stole it. That is why all of the polls were so wrong and why he got far more votes than anticipated. Bad!

--SNIP--

Update 2. Oh boy:

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump Based on the fraud committed by Senator Ted Cruz during the Iowa Caucus, either a new election should take place or Cruz results nullified. 9:28 AM - 3 Feb 2016

Carson ended up with 9% of the vote. I don’t think I ever saw a pre-poll of Carson getting more than 10%. IOW 1% does not a stolen election make.

the more Trump will self destruct.""""...

That's a fact. Let him be, give him 3 phones for tweeting.

This Iowa loss has really gotten to him, 2nd is still a loser.....

Can't determine whether he is sickening, disgusting or just plain fun to watch his own destructive ego. Stand by, another incoming TWEET. Gonna be fun to watch.

I see it so differently than those of you who are in the tank for Cruz.

Trump is correct to shine a light on the sleaze going in in the caucuses. At this point the only two honest candidates in this contest are Trump and Carson.

Cruz has zero chance of winning the general, Rubio is a young and inexperienced tool of the establishment, and Cruz is too clever by half, pretended to be the “outsider”, when behind the scenes he is aligned with the big banks and brokerage houses.

Trump has my support at this point, and I think he is the only one who can beat Hillary/Sanders in the general and clean out the corruption in D.C.

It saddens me that so many of you can’t see the forest, because you are clinging to the wrong tree.

Are you perhaps in possession of information denied to the rest of us to the effect that Donald Trump is committing a fraud on the public by pretending to write tweets coming from someone else?

If so, we can add one more character flaw in the count.

You really want to go there on the birth certificate thing?

Trump does know that there is no legal document anyone has seen to prove Barack Obama started life as a citizen of the United States. But it’s a little tough to go anywhere with that fact, when the president and powers that be own the media. Most likely, Barack must have been born in Canada. He was not a US citizen. Otherwise why did he use, all his life, including while president, false social security numbers? What American citizen would use a false SS number unless he were a criminal stealing someone’s identity for money? Which Obama was not.

I'm slowly souring on Trump, if this is how he acts.

Me too. I'm fine with him calling out Cruz for the tactic. But calling for delegate nullification or a new election when you're heading into NH with a lead is just silly.

He's going to tweet himself right out of the nomination.

My initial thought when I heard about the Cruz-”Carson’s dropping out” fiasco was that it was a dirty trick, but a brilliant dirty trick. Assume Cruz and Trump were neck and neck in Iowa. All Cruz had to do was siphon off 1% or 2% of Carson voters and voila’ he has the win. Looks like what happened.

I said the RNC should suspend Cruz and Rubio’s campaigns. They should not get away with theft.

“However, it’s too late to redo things. Trump doesn’t need to have won Iowa.”

He knows that though.

But the call amplifies the accusation. Better in the long-term.

Making an announcement like this the day of the caucus, and then CNN reporting on it was what caused he problem.

No, what caused the problem was the ethically challenged Cruz campaign that heard a report that Carson was taking a break and then misinterpreted it to suit their own purposes. No way would a competent and responsible campaign spread the false information that Carson was dropping out without first verifying it with the Carson campaign.

If true then that is as bad anything the GOP E can throw at us. Notice that the Anti Trump haters are joining Cruz’s campaign. Oh sure Rubio is getting establishment support, but when 50% of the NRO support Cruz maybe that isn’t a good thing. Cruz is surrounding himself with some people who are questionable like Glenn Beck and Rich Lowry. They hate Trump to the point of going insane. They could be up to no good.

Re:”Hey Donald,
Consider the Cruz victory in Iowa to be his style of eminent domain, state by state.

Get it in terms you understand big boy?

We have a winner.
Damn that is gonna leave a mark!

The “Nasty Cruz” meme seems to be accurate.

“I said the RNC should suspend Cruz and Rubio’s campaigns”

He should have his delegates stripped from him.

Good campaign slogan for Trump...Shinning the light on sleaze. This is good practice for him for when he goes after the Dems in the general.

Yep.......but I’d rather them suspend the campaign completely. Perhaps in 2024, they could come back and run again and learn how to be honest.
