MILWAUKEE (AP) - A civil liberties group said Wednesday that it plans to file federal discrimination and harassment complaints after a Wisconsin manufacturer fired seven Muslim employees for violating a company break policy that doesn't provide extra time for prayer.

Ariens Co. terminated the workers in a dispute that began last month when it moved to enforce an existing rule of two 10-minute breaks per work shift and dozens of Muslim staffers of Somali descent walked off the job in protest.

I’d love to have one of their mowers but they’re a bit pricey for my budget.

If you really want to save money, turn your lawn into clover and mow with what I have:

“Still, I do hope that any Freeper in the market for a lawn mower or a snow blower will give the Ariens Co. an opportunity to sell them one.”

Already own one, and put it to good use this AM. :-)

But if the company previously allowed prayer breaks, Hussein said, it can't legally end such accommodations.

Why not? Any benefit a company offers can be withdrawn.

Barry Goldwater was exactly right in opposing the civil rights act of 1964. It is none of the government's D@mned business who people hire or fire, or for whatever reason they wish to hire them or fire them.

Only so long as Obama is President. Hopefully the next President will declare them a terrorist support group.

I have logged a few miles behind one of those, about 60 years ago. Whenever I grumble about mowing today, I just think back to when I was a kid and shut my mouth.

But the muzzies want special privileges in the form of more paid break time to pray, I guess because they feel superior.

I read that at one workplace, they wanted a seperate microwave because the infidels cooked pork products in the one the company provided.

They didn't get it.

Hey, I just turned 60 and I find the exercise they provide exhilarating. Wife is afraid I`m going to drop dead from a heart attack, but the family sawbones says as long as I avoid this type of exercise when it’s too hot or too humid, I`m fine. He also says my ticker is in better shape than most guys 10-15 years younger.

That takes guts with the Hussein administration still in power.

We are now within the window of time where legal machinations from any lawsuit or complaint to the federal bureaucracy will outlive what's left of the Obastard administration. Time to use the leftists' tactics...delay, delay, delay.

Kudos to Ariens Co.

Muslim individuals and groups taking advantage of American ignorance of the Muslim beliefs and practices.

Prayers can be missed for any of many reasons, including perfroming duties at work. Apparently, it is a great sin to miss a prayer without a genuine reason or real necessity and the Hadith contain great warnings about it.

Furthermore, there appears to be numerous rules, regulations and guidelines regarding miss prayers. One such guideline can be found in the book titled "Everyday Fiqh" (Vol.1) Chapter 24 by Abdul Aziz Kamal ©1986 published by Islamic Publications (Pvt.) Ltd., 13-E Shah Alam Market, Lahore, Pakistan

One such example:

The missed Sunnat (compulsory) or Nafl prayer need not be offered later. The Sunnat rak'ahs of Fajr, however in view of their great importance and stress laid on them by the holy Prophet, have to be offered later, on the same day after the sun has risen and before it begins to decline, along with or without the Fard prayer, is missed. If this is not done before the sun begins to decline, only the Fard rak'ahs will be offered later.

If they won’t pray without getting paid, isn’t that an affront to the Great Allah, and shouldn’t they be beheaded for it? I think yes.
