"Frankly, I'm prejudiced: I want Trump to win the Republican nomination," Sanders said. "I would love the opportunity to run against him. I think we'd win."

That would make Trump happy as he could easily beat Sanders & it would be a first to see both political parties nominate the candidate that the establishment does not want.
I can recall in 2008 how the MSM told us that John McCain was the strongest candidate for the Reps. He was the one the Dems feared the most. Once McCain got the nomination, they tore him apart. And he was such a weak, feeble candidate who was afraid to attack Obama personally. Result: He lost by 10 million votes.
That’s what makes Sanders look so delusional.
I do know Hillary has the highest unfavorable ratings among the Dems and she will waltz to the nomination.
Let’s talk after NH.
Just remember, Carter wanted Reagan to win the nomination because he would be easier to beat than GHW Bush.
Trump needs to pivot back to the right, where he was doing well.
Many of these supportive statements from liberals weren’t made until after he tacked to the center/left, e.g. I get along great with Reid, Pelosi, Schumer, I make great deals, etc.
He can buy the rope from Trump.
Amazing how many naive FReepers we have who are taken in by democrat mind-games.
Former President Jimmy Carter said Wednesday that if he had to choose, he'd pick Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump over rival Ted Cruz, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. ..."
Before that KGB Putin.
I like Trump.
It's not "naive" for someone with legit conservative values to recognize that Trump is a potentially dangerous impostor. It's using one's head, as opposed to their backside.
A Trump-Sanders general would be a much closer election than most would think. They both have the strength of a cult like following that fills stadiums and drives news cycles. They both have the same weakness being that those cult followings have yet to land them a first place showing. The outcome of such a match-up is far from certain. One thing is certain the Democrats would throw everything including the kitchen sink into stealing the election. Trump seemed to have a problem handling a mailer in Iowa.
We are taking a massive risk with Trump in terms of trust.
We know where Cruz stands and it has always been with conservatives.
“Letâs talk after NH.”
Exactly one week ago, I was told “Let’s talk after Iowa.”
:-)
“So I guess we should nominate the candidate the Dems tell us is the one they least want to run against. Probably Jeb Bush”
Bush is a non-factor, and the one the dems want to face is Trump.
“Well, I guess if you are going to believe cruz, you would most certainly have to believe bernie.”
Cruz’ words didn’t announce Jimmy Carter had warmed up to Trump; nor did they cause the socialist to call Trump out as beatable.
“it will be much harder for them to pull off what they did in Iowa ...Trump will win”
I don’t dispute the likelihood Trump will win in NH. If he can’t win in the liberal NE environs, he can’t win anywhere. The question is how well he’ll still play elsewhere.
